Would have been nice but it was just a rumor, they didn't show anything. Hell, there was more TMNT content during the 2011 KCAs than this year...

In other news, Michael Chang (who directed some Teen Titans, Batman: BatB, and Young Justice) is going to be an animation director on the show.

I just hope this show can live up to the incredibly high standards of the past two series. As goofball as the original cartoon can be, it is still damn entertaining to this day. And the 4kids series was pretty much one of the best cartoons during the 2000's in general even if the quality dipped a bit in the final season.

With 26 eps confirmed for Season 1 I assume we'll get another series with over 100 episodes, I am hoping if its a success it can surpass the original cartoons count of 193 episodes, something I wished the 4kids series to do.

The MTV Networks International website does say that 52 episodes of the new series will be available, so I’m guessing that means season two (of 26 episodes) is already in the plan. I’m not sure if this info was known before, but if it was, then sorry for repeating old news!

Obviously, 52 episodes won’t be ready anytime soon. I’m not even sure how many of the first season episodes are already done. Every time they preview the series (like at the upfronts), it doesn’t seem like much of the actual show is ready to be shown. Am I wrong on this? Maybe they’re just keeping things really under wraps.

    Nope. Can't do it.
Can't accept ANY version of Shredder from the '03 show.
He's an alien, living in the stomach of a robot.
    Then he's a demon.
    Then he's a computer program.
The "most hardcore" of all Shredders is the one from the 1990 movie.

Since when did being an alien automatically take you out of the running for being "most hardcore"?

I also prefer Shredder to be human, but the Utrom Shredder was undoubtedly the most vicious and dangerous interpretation of the character. I mean, did you not see Turtles Forever?

Yeah honestly the 1990 movie Shredder was fine and way more threatening than the 80s cartoon but he still went down easily twice and was guilty of some crimes and at least one case of murder. Both utrom and demon Shredder did way more brutal acts and utrom tried to end all life as he knew it. How does not being a human unqualify him as the most hardcore Shredder?

I'd give it to Mirage Shredder if the turtles had not killed him in the very first issue though the IDW Shredder may prove to be the most ruthless of all in the end. He's already killed 6 people in cold blood, four were adolesents and they were all one family. Who knows what he might do later?

For now Ch'rell is easily the most vicious interpretation of the character to date.

Most vicious maybe but IMO the fact that he's an alien makes him my least favorite interpretation of the character, loved the 2003 show otherwise.

Fair enough. You don't have to like the character to acknowledge he was written to be the most threatening version of the character. I must admit I thought he was cooler when he was human and ultimately Bishop was the best antagonist in 2K3.
