The first EP, slated for a July 22nd release, is only going to be sold through his website, concert dates, and iTunes. The only copies you can snag in traditional stores will be on vinyl. It's not stated if future EPs will follow a similar release pattern, but the followup will be released in September, followed by a third in November. The William Shatner album will start recording later this year, with a 2004 release date in sight.

Very exciting news, considering that two music formats I use anymore are vinyl and MP3. I'll definitely be buying them.

Well, it's about time that William Shatner made a new album! I can't wait to hear his unique brand of "soliloquy rap" again. Haha.

Dammit. Do they have to give me a reason to actually buy music online? I've wanted his follow-up to "Rockin' the Suburbs" ever since that came out. And he's releasing 3 EPs?! Hot damn, I'm definitely getting these!

Ben Folds is alright, but I liked him better with the Ben Folds Five. And this new William Shatner album? Who's going to buy that?

Now, Kathie Lee Gifford and Katey Segal both released solo albums, but I can't see why you would buy them because they would seem out of place in music. William Shatner is like this, except that people have been mocking him about this for years now.

Celebrities and music - it almost never works. (unless you're Phantom Planet or Stickfigure)
Be sure to catch 24 every Monday at 9pm Eastern on Fox (and 10pm Eastern on Global). Watch it, because you know you're brighter than Michael Irvin.

I can't wait for Patrick Stewerts dance grooves, his duet with DJ Sammy was great.
