    Need Help Identifying Music

    Like This Thread!
There are a couple of pieces of music I need help identifying.

    1. The classical music that is played during the new season of South Park promos. The one where it shows 7 of whoever.

    2. This is some sort of jazz music I've never heard the name of. It was played during the episode of The Simpsons where Grampa dates Marge's Mom. It was during the scene where they're dancing and Mr. Burns cuts in. He then has the band start playing this. I also remember that it used to play in some old Oreo cookie commercials that had a bunch of dancing Oreos.

If anyone could help me out, it would be very much appreciated.
Well drown the kids and shoot the neighbors!

    Excelsior!

The cheese does not wear me. I wear the cheese.

That's the big band hit "Sing, Sing, Sing," by Glenn Miller. And it was in a Chips Ahoy! commercial, not Oreos.

Yikes, I hope you're not caught in a Catch-22: The people who know classical music (like me) may not watch enough South Park, and those who watch South Park may not know enough classical music.

I'll see if I can keep my ear out for it. It plays during the promos for the new season, you say?

Okay, I think I caught the promo that you're talking about. "Seven Cartmans"? There was a lot of noise in the background, but I think that was the finale to Ponchielli's "Dance of the Hours" that was playing over it. You'd probably know it best from Fantasia: it's the segment with the hippos, elephants, ostriches and crocodiles. The part they use in that promo is from the final bit where the crocs are chasing everyone.
