    Spider-man Rock'n'Roll Musical

    Like This Thread!
Yesterday, went to Universal Studios [Hollywood] and came back home 1:15am. Today, fist day of school, woke up 5:30am. So tired.

Anyhoo, I always see billboards with this new Spider-man atraction at Uni and I finally got to go yesterday. All it said was music and dancing, but we went, and found out it was a show. It was just like the movie. . . but it was only 20 minutes long. They had the cast sing songs mostly the ones you here in the radio <of course, they talked too>, they painted buildings on the stage, and they had fire escapes and everything for the slum part of any other city.

It was kinda corny. . . if you haven't seen it, kinda goes like this -->

It starts with Peter (the actor looks like he's 32yrs old or something) narrating/talks about his geeky life, then he talks about some girl who 'makes his heart leap all the time'. Then the stage light points to MJ (probably 19), she wears tall boots, a mini leather skirtand a pink top. A song plays she dances <plays with her hair a little, but is still apropriate>. Then they baord the bus for the fieldtrip. You know what comes next. . .

The stage clears as they look for the missing spider, Peter at the center of hte stage. Then he acts crazy when he got btten. A moment later, he stops and a backround singer sings "We Need a Hero." Peter felt his biseps then gave this wierd look at the audience (to me he looked like he was high on sumthin), then the unexpected . . the music becomes louder and he rips his shirt off (heh, atleast he had a nice six-pack ). Then he climbs around and started to swing on his web. *light fades*

Then 2 street thugs start to sing Ricky Martin's "Livin LaVida Loca" as MJ sits in the bus stop. They start to harrass her <still singing>, then *SHE* beats them up with only her backpack. She starts to walk away, then the thugs get up and thier leadre arrives. They chase her, the "We Need a Hero" comes out again. Spidey arrives hanging upsidedown on his "web." *kick* *pow* *oof* MJ rescued and he runs off.

Dancers and a singer comes on stage and starts to singg Mya's "AM to PM" as the walls flash headlines from the newspaper. Then all of a sudden, Green Goblin shows up and starts shooting below. The man in red & blue that can *not* fly apears and battles him. [This is really cheesy] They just stangle eachother's necks <hehe, the simpsons!>. MJ then runs up to them and stopped the strangling. MJ then "flirts" wit Green Goblin to leer him away from Spider-man <which somehow disapeared>. She sings No Doubt's "Hey, Baby" and Lady Marmalade. Big mistake. . .well *duh*. . . GG kidnaps her. He then flies on his thingy and lands on the otherside of the auditorium.

Then out of nowhere, Spidey jumps right in front of me *C L!!!* and stomps his way to the Green Goblin. He pushed MJ away [hmm, away from danger probably?] Then Spidey & the Goblin had air battle above us [which was really cool]. Spidey wins and lands in front of MJ. She hugs him. . .
    MJ : "Who are you?"
Spidey : "You know who I am."
    MJ : <takes off mask and gasps> "Peter Parker!" <hugs him again>
Spidey : <pulls her close> "Yeah! I'm Spider-man, Baby!!" <spits out the last word and gave the audience a really big, cheezy grin then dipped MJ and gave her a stage smooch.>
Then Spider-man theme song plays. *there are more songs but i don't remember them*

    THE END

Oh! Did i mention Green Goblin was wearing pink ?

    =^-^=

Sounds pretty cool! Though the "I'm Spiderman, baby!" doesn't sound too much like Peter. Anyhoo...*blinks* did I read that correctly??? Green Goblin wore pink????

'Baby?!' That doesn't fit with my interpretatioin of PP! If I was there I think I'd have to had stormed the stage and demanded a rewrite (and a lawyer as I'm dragged away by guards...)

Ugh...the "Spider-Man Rocks!" show at Universal....a horrible, horrible attraction...At first, I was excited about it, seeing that the Beetlejuice show was getting a little tired, plus, I'm a huge Spidey fan. But it was absolutely terrible--the songs weren't rock at all, and the performes seemed to be way too old to portray Peter and Mary-Jane. They used what looked like cheap Halloween costumes of Spider-Man and the Green Goblin on the performers, and the Goblin Glider (which I was most looking forward to) moved at an incredibly slow speed. A very big dissappointment. Sadly, a waste of time. If you want to go to a great Spidey attraction, try the one at Islands of Adventure in Flordia--it's fantastic!
