The 2 that stand out in my mind right away are Tool's Aenima with the lenticular animation and Tool's Lateralus with the see through plastic body layers peelaway. There's a few others, but I cant seem to remember them at this moment.
Your favourite album cover!
If you can post an image or link to that cover it would make the whole thread a lot more interesting! If not, a small description would be cool!
Any genre, any period!
Your best album cover (or your top five if you can't choose!)

No pictures? You lazy peeps!
Faith No More's Angel Dust. Beautiful and simple. Especially for a rock album.

Hmm, clever SJJ, very clever. Interesting topic. Me I'm a simple kinda guy in a complex kinda world, so I'm going to second he who favored Metallica's Black album. Black, snake, name, cool.![]()

Hey Duke Cowgirl Man Bite Her
"bear witness, as i exercise my exorcism, the evil that lurks within, the sin, the terrorism, possessed by evil spirits voices from the dead, i come forth with gravediggaz in tha head, full of dread"
My top three:
3."Abbey Road" - The Beatles (I too always thought it was cool.)
2."Thick As a Brick" - Jethro Tull (It's less of an "album cover" in the classical sense and more of a platform to tell the fictional backstory of the album.)
1."Apollo 18" - They Might Be Giants (Nothing fancy, nothing elaborate. The perfect cover for their darkest album to date.)

Lateralus- Tool

Ænima- Tool
3.
Scenes From A Memory- Dream Theater
4.
In The Court Of The Crimson King- King Crimson
5.
The Lamb Lies Down On Broadway- Genesis
6.
Hemispheres- Rush
Nirvana's Nevermind cover is absolutely classic.

Another Faith No More cover I'm afraid. Very different and rather cartoony! Thought it might appeal to some of the arty members!

GAC - It's a floor wax and a desert topping!
I love the cover to the Dropkick Murphys' first album 'Do or Die' but I think the best one ever would have to be 'Sgt. Peppers or Abbey Road' by the Beatles. Followed shorlty after by the Clash's 'London Calling.'
"I Love the smell of napalm in the morning" - Col. Kilgore Apocalypse Now (1979)
Wow, those are some pretty intresting album covers! Geesh, and here I love the album covers from Chicago, lol. They have some pretty awesome covers, but some of the ones posted here are pretty dang cool.
