    Spider-Man Soundtrack Talkback

    Like This Thread!
So what does everyone think of th Spidey CD? Good choice of songs, or are there some you think should not have been on there? What's your favorite and/or least favorite song on the CD? And....anyone notice how eeringly similar specific parts of the Spiderman score are to the Batman score? I know composers have signatures in their style of music, and I know what Elfman's is...but this was just so familiar, it creeped me out, I thought I was listening to a Batman song.

    I have it and only listen to tracks 2, 17, 18, 19...

No desire to listen to the rest heh. The score by Danny is great - nice to hear the Bats influence and I think I heard a little Dick Tracy in there too.

I love all of it! Well, okay there is one song that I don't like: My Nutmeg Phantasy by Macy Gray, but other than that I love the CD! In fact I'm listening to it right now. My favorite tracks on it are:

    #6-Alien Ant Farm- Bug Bytes
    #8-Corey Taylor- Bother
    #10-The Strokes-When It Started
    #13-Pete Yorn-Undercover

    Carnage
He can lift 50 tons, he can change his form, he doesn't trigger the Spidey sense, what does Spider-Man have over him?
    Mary Jane of course

If you like the song by The Strokes on the CD, I definatly recommend you pick up their album 'Is This It' - a perfect and near flawless disc. The soundtrack is pretty average to me, but the two Elfman bits have me anticipating the score release come June 9th. The songs I really don't like on the disc is Nickelback (ugh...despise the band) and the horrible Areosmith cover of the Spider-Man theme. Give me the original version anyday. And does anyone else think the 'comic' on the disc cover fold out is sorta lame?

Is the original song in the cd? Somebody posted that it plays over the credits.

The original theme plays at the very end of the end credits of the movie. The original theme is also the first track on the disc.
