Country music (revived topic)

I am in love with Country Music!! And I was terribly sad to hear that Waylon Jennings died. He rocked! Pop Country sucks though. Bluegrass isn't that great either! Anything that reminds me of Britany Spears sucks.

This thread is the revival of an old thread called "Who else does not like country music?" As an experiment (just to see if it makes the revival less annoying) I'm splitting off the new posts in it, and putting in a link to the old thread. -- Maxie

Most of the stuff you mentioned (aside from Linkin Park and Aerosmith) is crap...I can't stand that stuff...and Marilyn Manson is sick! Oh, and Eminem is not real music! I'm listening to real music right now...the good redneck stuff!!

Country is ok. I love all kinds of music, as long as it appeals to me. Rap, Christian, Opera, Broadway, Pop....maybe not Bluegrass. Never really listened to it.

I don't like all Country music, just like I don't like all pop music or all Rap music, but some of the lyrics has touched me. Kenny Chesney's "You Had Me From Hello" on the Jerry Maguire movie....I just can't get enough of it. ^_^ Diamond Rio - "One More Day"....oh, David Ball, "Riding With Private Malone" made me cry. The only song that has ever made me cry. It's a story-song, and unbelievably touching. Garth Brooks "When You Come Back to Me Again" (from the Frequency sountrack was touching, too.

The other country stuff make me want to gag. Toby Keith (the 10-10-2-1 guy) has this wierd country rap thing going on and it just sickens me. And to make it worse, my roommate watches ONLY Country Music Television. ARGH. she listens to ONLY country. Blasting loud on her computer speakers. She's a reeeeeaaaaaaal hick. I think she's living in the 1800's or something. her and her new boyfriend. ick.

my rant for the day. wohoo, glad i have somewhere to vent out my fustration!!! boy does it feel good. ^_^
