Blade 2 Soundtrack Finalized
Rolling Stone reports that the songs on the "Blade II" soundtrack have been finalized. The compilation will feature hip-hop/electronic pairings of Fatboy Slim and Eve, Redman and Gorillaz, and Mos Def and Massive Attack, and others.
"I liked his stuff, but had never done anything with him," Eve says of her collaboration with Fatboy on the track "Cowboy." "It came out really hot. I'd like to work with other producers like that."
The "Blade II" soundtrack is due March 26th and includes:
"Blade (Theme From Blade II)," Marco Beltrami and Danny Saber
"Cowboy," Eve and Fatboy Slim
"I Against I," Mos Def and Massive Attack
"Right Here, Right Now," Ice Cube and Paul Oakenfold
"Tao of the Machine," the Roots and BT
"Child of the Wild West," Cypress Hill and Roni Size
"The One," Busta Rhymes, Silkk the Shocker and Dub Pistols
"We Be Like This," Fabolous, Jadakiss and Danny Saber

That probably has to do with popularity of the music genre and not skin color. "Cool" movies usually have a lot of hiphop on their soundtracks- people think that type of music is "badass" (Ah, I love quotations- they make me sound ever more sarcastic).

It figures: one track of score - "Blade (Theme from Blade II)", Marco Beltrami and Danny Saber - surrounded by noise. I just hate that. Thank God for score albums.
