Favorite "Driving" Song?
Simply put, what song(s) do you like to play while driving, whether in city/town driving or on the faster freeways? It should be something fast that gets you going, but it doesn't HAVE to be.
Mine: -Propellerheads: "Bang On": Probably my favorite techno song ever. Fast tempo, lots of different layers, and just oozes "cool".
-The Crystal Method: "Roll it Up": Hard-hitting bass beats mixed with a driving techno line.
-Outrun2 soundtrack: Especially "Life Was a Bore", "Magical Sound Shower", and "Splash Wave".
-Jet Moto: Track 2 (or Track 3 if you put it in a CD player, since track 1 on any PS1 game is always loud static). It's a country-western flavored tune with no lyrics. This is the RIGHT way to do that genre- fast, a catchy melody, with a little bit of hard rock mixed in there. Never gets old.
-John Morgan: "Gin and Sin". It's a song from the SSX soundtrack.
-Mixmaster Mike: "Slayboarder". Another techno song that just makes you feel cool while driving.
-Space Raiders: "Song For Dot". I love how it starts out really slow and gradually builds to a really fast tempo.
-Skank: "Shake What Your Mama Gave Ya". This one's like a combination of jazz, rap, and techno, and it sounds really cool. This is another that's on the SSX soundtrack.
-The Caesars: "Jerk It Out". I know, this rock song is overplayed. But I still love it.
-The X-Ecutioners: "Like This". The bass underneath the woman rapping is catchy.
-N.E.R.D.: "Rock Star" (Nevins Club remix). It's almost over now, almost over now!
-Overseer: "Screw Up" and "Stompbox". Both techno tunes with repetitive melodies, but still catchy as heck, especially "Screw Up" (heard on SSX 3)
-66 Boys: "Rock Me Baby", "Salty Catfish", and "Surfing Guitar". These are from the Metal Gear Solid 3 soundtrack. They're the kind of surf music songs that you'd hear in Famous Dave's, or in any of those beach movies of the '60s.
-Iron Maiden: "2 Minutes to Midnight". What can I say, it's a rock classic.
-Motley Crue: "Kickstart My Heart". Fast, rockin', quotable lyrics, what more do you need?
-Mudmen: "Animal". This is a rock song on the Burnout 3 soundtrack.
-The Lot Six: "Autobrats". Another Burnout 3 rock song.
-Finger Eleven: "Stay in Shadow". Not especially fast, but hard-hitting. Another Burnout 3 song.
-The Cruis'n USA soundtrack. Hey, stop laughing. I like it. Especially "Bluegrass Boogie".
-Kirsten Proffit: "Going All Night". I first heard this rock song on the Jiminy Glick in La La Wood soundtrack. It makes me happy every time I hear it.
And, one that might surprise you: Crash Twinsanity soundtrack, by Spiralmouth. The a cappella tunes are catchy as heck.
What are yours?

"I Can't Drive 55" - Sammy Hagar
"Orpheus" - Ash (thanks to the BURNOUT 3 demo on NEED FOR SPEED 2)
And during my first semester of college, I used to always put on "Devoe's Revenge" from the soundtrack to THE PEACEMAKER as I left the parking lot. Great driving music!
And "Crockett's Theme" from MIAMI VICE (not the actual MV theme) is perfect for cruising around a large city at night.

Queen - Don't Stop Me Now
THE ultimate driving song, in my mind and according to the people at Top Gear.

Even though I don't drive yet, if I did, it probably would be "Gin and Juice" by Dr. Dre and Snoop Dogg. Can't get anymore laid back than that.
-
I have always considered Lynyrd Skynyrd's "Sweet Home Alabama" the ULTIMATE driving song.

A bit of a cop-out, but I have to say the entire Songs for the Deaf album by Queens of the Stone Age. The first two albums aren't bad for it either. I guess this is evidenced by the fact that half of QOTSA's videos feature driving in one way or another.
