Eh, it was a decent episode. It is obvious the main goal of it was to get Jean and Scott together (about damn time!) I felt really bad for Scott though, walking through Mexico (not New Mexico BTW) alone with no one to help you through it.

Overall, I'd say 2 1/2 stars, I've had my fill of Scott/Jean "will they, wont they" episodes, and I'm very glad that this one will probably end all of that.

    BTW, is next week's new?

I personally loved this episode, it was great. Mystique hit Scott hard. The episode really went into a lot of detail as to how Scott felt in being blind. He couldn't open his eyes at all without the fear of hurting someone. His concerns and fears were portrayed very well in the episode IMO.

I'm glad they finally started moving up the Scott/Jean relationship in this episode. It flowed perfectly with the episode and didn't at all feel forced or "pushed in".

The fight scenes between Scott and Mystique, especially in the end, were greatly choreographed. None of them were hyped up like the ones in Season one or two. We actually got a lot of good fist fighting in there.

The animation and story were great once again. I give this episode a 4.5 out of 5. Season Three is still going strong, and there isn't an episode that has dissapointed me yet. For once, I'm really liking where they're taking this show.

I liked this episode about as well as any of the other episodes. It started off a bit slow, but really picked up when Mystique became more direct in her involvement. It's nice that Scott and Jean have gotten together and they have the psi-link that they've had in all the other mediums and series', although it seems a bit early for this, but Scott and Jean are meant for one another (and no Logan, whose new costume I don't like, might I add ! ).

One minor complain I have is Scott not being able to put the wolves down, he at least could have KO'd them, but maybe he was worried about using too powerful of a blast. Those were pretty tenacious wolves.

I think next weeks episode is going to be a new one involving Spyke's lack of control over his powers, which sort of fits with Halloween as he can look pretty freaky. Geez, he really could have killed Rogue.

    I'd give this ep a 3.5/5.

I really liked it. The only thing that I didn't like about it was when he was walking through the desert at first. I was was wondering if that was all he was going to do for the rest of the episode. I like that the mansion is now livable again and that Scott and Jean finally got together. Mystique is such a good fighter. I don't think we've seen her use moves like that since "The Cauldron". I found it a lot more appealing than I thought I would so I give it 4 1/2 *'s .

I saw somewhere that next week's episode will be "Mindbender" from last season and the one after that will be a new one called "X-treme Measures" where Evan Has the Problems and leaves.

Eh!... this was the worst ep so far, i was really bored it just wasn't believable scott suppose to be blind so how did he find his way out of the hospital? And those wovles in the desert should've been burn to a crisp Now for the thugs in the alleyway, if you just heard that a guy just blew the roof off of hospital what would make them think that they can take him on Then when he's fighting mystique she was about to gas him again and he slaps the gas case out of her hand that impossible how did Scott know what she was going to do with out opening his eyes There are more examples like this through out the entire ep but i just don't feel like listing them ok I'm done......

Well keds1017, Cyclops is a trained X-Man. As the episode progressed he learned to rely on his ears more than on his sight. Network censors probably made that whole incident with the wolves more humane (for the wolves), it did seem like the only violent thing not happening there was the dogs getting seriously hurt.

The fight between Mystique and Cyclops was awesome. And as Wolverine said, "It's about time" Jean and Cyclops hooked up. We know Duncan is out of the picture now, but what about Taryn....?

Next week's ep is "Mindbender," a personal favorite of mine from Season 2 (It's to tie in with the "Halloween" theme for next Saturday). The week afterwards is the new episode "X-treme Measures."

    Later.

In "Mainstream" when all of the mutants were walking into school, Scott looked to Taryn and she snubbed him. Their relationship is over though Scott never really liked her anyway. Besides it was a one-sided relationship where she dated him he just went along with her whenever Jean went with Duncan.

Let's start with your first complaint. How did Scott find his way out of the building? Given that he blew the roof off, all he had to do was follow some of the fleeing people. The thugs didn't know how he blew the roof off of the building. He could have used explosives for all they knew. Plus, Mystique convinced them to. Scott knew what Mystique was going to do because she said, "Let's see how you like the arctic," right before she pulled out the gas capsule. It doesn't take a genius to figure out that she would use another gas capsule after she did it the first time. Please continue with the nitpicking. It was fun pointing out the flaws in your complaints.

The episode was decent and finally got past the "will they, won't they" thing with Scott and Jean. I wasn't particularly fond of the relationship stuff at the beginning of the episode, but it was necessary. At least in this continuity we won't have to deal with a Scott/Jean/Logan love triangle. I give it a 3.5/5

Awsome episode. Scott is so awsome, and I love him even more! And what a sweet ending.

    My Two Cents...

I loved this episode. "Blind Alley" was a great step for characther devolpment for Cyke, Jean, and Mystique. The fights between Scott and Mystique were great!!! I loved the fact that Jean finally kicked some real butt and esspeically Mystique's. I hope we don't see Ms. Darkholme for awhile cause she's been getting on my nerves. I give this episode four stars can't wait for next week's new episode.

I read the Marvel Milestone Edition Reprint of Giant Sized X-Men #1 (which reprints every page).
There was a profile for Cyclops mention his eye beams are force beams.
So they push with a strong force, no burning ability there.

Okay Exatron, you may be right about thugs in the alleyway but everything else i strongly disagree. You said he was simply following the fleeing people{i don't know how this is possible when your blind and with all the choas going on there is no way he would've know what direction to go too. Also i think they were chasing him. I mean how fast can a blind man run?} but he was the first person out the door. Then he headed into the alleyway asking for help when minutes before he was just in the damn hospital now if someone had actually help him first thing the person is going to do is to take him right back to the hospital. and your explanation about scott smacking the gas capules doesn't hold water I know scott good but not that good [not at this young age anyway} This guy was fighting like he was Dare devil!! btw I know its nitpicking or its just a cartoon but i can't look past it

antinyonder that what i thought too but on the cartoon sometime i see smoke but i think your right

Keds1017 are you blind??? No. Then how do you know how Scott can do or not do. I know a blind person and he uses something called hearing and mostly uses his senses and thinks about what he is going to do that's all the stuff Scott did in this epsiode so really I don't see how you think the episode was unrealistic and you should read Daredevil that would really answer all your questions.

antiyonder that's what i thought too but somtime in the cartoon you see smoke after he shoots the ground or something but your right

And storm 1288 no i'm not blind ...perfect 20/20 and i do know a few people that are blind people. Believe me i understand the high awareness stuff but i just think the fighting style he perform was just a little unrealistic for his age. Actually i don't really consider him blind he just can't control his powers. I just don't have faith in scott's abilities simple Let the flaming began

It was a good episode but there was one thing that bugged me. When Scott and Mystique were fighting blind, I was wondering why didn't Mystique change into something that could see in the dark. When Mystique changes shape, she could replicate the natural abilities (not superpowers) of the form that she takes. Thus, she could fly when she turns into a raven, so she could have turned into an animal that could see in the dark, Other than that it was a good episode and I could understand why Cyclops could deal with being blind since he was probably trained, presumably by Wolverine, how to deal with darkness in the event he loses his ruby quartz lenses and has the deal with life with his eyes close. The whole point of the Xavier Institute is to teach the students how to deal with the extenuating circumstances of their powers in order to lead a normal life and teaching Scott how to live with his eyes close counts in Scott's case.

While trying to find info on X-Men 2, I also came across plenty of X-Men TAS and Evo websites. And I remember reading on one of them that main force behind Evo was some lady that used to work on Nickelodeon. She even quoted or something saying "There will be no strong violence or dramatic sagas. Think of it as Doug with superpowers."

Ya know, for the entire first season, she wasn't kidding. I despised this show and everything it made a mockery of in the Marvel Universe.

I don't know what the hell kind of hair the creators grew on their ass, but this is my first episode of Season 3, and I can't believe what I'm seeing here. The recap of what I missed, where Mystique begs Cyclops for help and then he just leaves her there with that stone cold look, it sent chills up my spine. The fight scene was amazingly animated, expecially Mystique's lil anime-type drop from 100 feet that missed Cyk.

Everyone's up in arms about how Cyclops "sensed" everything, and I've seen people in real life that can pull that kind of stuff off. It's creepy. But when he's running around Mystique when she can't see?

I can understand him deflecting and hearing her every attack, but how is he going to hear a pole or concrete blocks in front of him before he crashes into it?

As for the Jean - Scott thing, I'm THANKING God this crap is finally over. I don't mind the mushy stuff, there was plenty of it in TAS. In fact, this episode kind of reminded me of the first "Morlock" episode of TAS. What with a big Cyclops-Jean Grey love story, while they're being imprisoned underground. I just couldn't stand the crap leading up to it, the Sadie hawkins day dance, the blonde football player....come on already. I think even the animators were sick of it, thats why Wolvie and Storm are so damn happy it's finally over.

I still haven't seen or heard Season 3 Gambit, but as long as he gets the trenchcoat, I'm exstatic. All I wan't now is Rogue to get Ms. Marvel's powers and for Spyke to get lost, and then we basically have the Original Series. Unbelievable, from 7th Heaven X-Men to TAS X-Men. All in 2 seasons.....astounding.

By the way, for anyone that hasn't seen the pics of Yuriko and etc from X-Men 2, GO FIND THEM NOW. This movie is going to blow The Matrix out of the water.
