i really liked this episode. It picked up exactly were the finale left off. This episode was filled with action, and i think the series should really get interesting now that the x-men cant attend school anymore. And lets not forget Apocalypse is still coming this season! I liked the appearance by one of the morlocks, Caliban.

3.5 It was a little too fast. Granted, most of it took place in the course of the same day.

So now they are fugitives, and are probably out of school. They should slow this series down, now. It felt like "Day of Reckoning," Part 3.

    Later.

I already posted my thoughts on the new ep. in the Kid's WB Weekend thread. Needless to say, this was a great episode, and I give it 4 1/2 stars.

Yeah, I posted my thoughts in the Kids' WB weekend thread too. I have to agree, this episode would have done better as a two-parter. It was rushed. I think some people may have missed it since there wasn't much talk about it on the borads.

I wish I had seen it.

Can anybody offer spoilers so I'm not in the dark during next week's episode? Thanks a bunch.

I thought it was nifty cool. I think it's cute Toad has a little crush on Wanda.

    Ok, here's an in-depth summary:
    Spoiler:
It picks up right where DoR left off. Scott and Mystique are at each other's throats when suddenly the area is stormed with police officers and soldiers who try to arrest them. All hell breaks loose as the mutants use their powers to escape. Berzerker takes charge of the New Mutants and leads them into the city. The Brotherhood flee, and Storm flies off with Scott. In an amusing sequence, Kurt, Jean, Kitty, and Bobby flee in a cop car.

Later, they all reunite at a lookout point. Mystique says they have to join forces in order to rescue their teammates from the military, and assumes control of the group, threatening to not reveal Xavier's location if they question her. Nick Fury appears, and gives the X-Men the location where their friends are hidden. Mystique then sends Todd and Wanda off to New York to make sure that Magneto died when the Sentinel crashed into the building. They then discover from watching news reports that Pietro rescued Mags just before the robot hit the building. Wanda is not pleased. Also, we see that Todd has a crush on Wanda, and his flirtations with her are hilarious.

Meanwhile, the New Mutants witness all the Anti-Mutant paranoia that's surfaced since they were exposed. Berzerker leads them into the sewers, saying he knows a place where they can seek shelter. They then encounter the Morlock Caliban, who takes them to a place unknown.

After stealing a helicopter, Mystique and the X-Men infiltrate the military base. Iceman and Shadowcat try to turn off the alarms, but set it off accidently. The X-Men and Avalanche are able to use their powers to get past the guards, while Mystique and Nightcrawler free their friends. As they make their escape, Scott traps Mystique in a corridor as the soldiers are coming, demanding that she reveal Xavier's location. She refuses, and says he doesn't have the guts to leave her there. He does.

In the end, the Brotherhood and the X-Men go their sperate ways, and the reunited team looks out into the horizon, hoping they can find a way to prove to humanity that they are the good guys.

It was alright... but nothing spectacular. Almost no plot or character development... just trying to resolve the effects from the last 2 episodes. By the end, we are basically back to square one going into the episode. No plotholes resolved from the prior eps. And even less answers than we had 5 months ago. The outsmarting and outfighting stupid, yet overpopulated, military and policeman scenes can only do so much for me. And the resolution on Magneto was a cop-out. Re-animating the very footage they just showed 3 seconds before? Yeesh. I wanted to jump up and say "He didn't get out of the cockadoodey car!... but no one would know what I was talking about.

Average episode at best. I'll give it 3.5 just to see where it goes.

This episode reminded me alot of the first episodes of the old X-Men cartoon. It was pretty darn good. Almost makes me regret not seeing any of season 2. So I'll have to watch it from now on.

I thought it was cool, the highlight of my day. X-Men:Evolution is my favorite show at the time and I always watch it (though sadly I never got to see Day of Reckoning 1&2).

I really enjoyed the caliban morlock part, the the and the major action scenes.

X-Men:Evolution keeps getting better and I hope it stays that way.

I liked the new beginning but I think it made the episode too short.

I give it a 4 out of 5 . 1/2 off for it being great but not the best, and 1/2 off for no Colossus,Gambit, or PYRO !!!

They only added about 30 seconds to the opening, right? I'm glad they changed it up though, and at least showed the new recruits in it. Do you think this show is getting too crowded to support all the characters? Is a spin-off possible?

Not a bad episode, it's a good follow-up to Day of Reckoning. I mean what I like about it is that the show kicked into high gear as soon as it started to feel more like the comic when it comes to the mutant paranioa aspect.
