Which Marvel Comic(s) would you like to see get a cartoon series again?

    Like This Thread!
With the popular X-men:Evolution and the upcoming Spider-Man animated series on MTV. What Marvel Title would youy like to see as a cartoon?

I would like to see The Fantastic Four again and Dardevil too. An Avengers series (done right) would be nice also and The Hulk.

Black Widow all the way, That is my fav Marvel comic!
But the more recent Black Widows have "parental advirsorys" on them. since they are somewhat gorey, and since the say the F-word frequently. They would have to tone it down for tv, but that is sure what I wanna see!

I just had to post this, i dont think there was ever a Black Widow series on TV, but i'd sure as hell wanna see one

Avengers, yes. I'd also like another crack at Hulk, this time one of the other incarnations instead of the dumb one, and Daredevil would be pretty spiffy.

    X-Force. Can't forget this one.

I'd also be interested in a Dr. Strange done right, and a Defenders cartoon.

Another Conan the Barbarian would be appreciated, this time less "kid friendly".

The Avengers, and do it right darn it.

Dr Strange might be interesting but I think something like Daredevil might be more interesting.

I wouldn't be surprised if Daredevil got a new series if the movie is a success, along with The Hulk.

I would like to see a New Mutants animated series. It always was my favorite Marvel comic. Also, I would like to see Blackheart and Shuma-Gorath in a series.
I guess this means that we'll be seeing Jimmy's ugly CGI face pop
into all the different Nick shows like he's the all-important god of the
    network. God, I hate Nick.

Give the Avenger's another go, that show was cool just on the wrong network.

And definetly Silver Surfer, that show was just freak'n cool, stupid Marvel financial problems....

Lastly I'd of loved to see a Deadpool toon, of all the Marvel Character's he's one of the most animated, although now that he's become Agent-X things are kinda crushed for me unless they do a deal with his creator where 1 season is Deadpool and the show slowly fades into Agent-X.

I would love to see a Daredevil series - done in the same style as the early BTAS episodes. A couple of years ago Daredevil was actually rumored for a series, but it never made it past the initial phase.

Captain America would be on that I would love to see finally done - a couple of stills and some of the production was done on what would have been a Fox Kids Cap. America toon.

Scarlet Spider - one of my favorite Marvel characters of all time I would love to see a series following the adventures of a traveling Ben Reily.

Fantastic Four - Marvels first family - nuff said!

Nova - another underrated Marvel character his series in the late 90's was fantastic and the character was and always has been interesting to me.

Silver Surfer and Spider-Man Unlimited - a continuation of their first series.

I would have to say Deadpool. He never got his own TV series but he would do great. You got Action and Humor lots of Humor. I really wish a Deadpool series would be made the comic would be perfect for TV.

Daredevil would be good, especially to tie into the movie.

I'd love to see a new Hulk cartoon. Make it more like the live-action show and the current comic. Bring back the monster. It's a horror story, and Hulk shouldn't be considered a superhero.

Fantastic Four: Endless possibilities, plus room for guest stars like Spidey and Dr. Strange.

X-Factor: The five original X-Men assemble a new team. Cyclops, Jean Grey, Beast, Iceman and Angel; a little bit older and wiser, this could be a darker series than X-Men was. Stories about Cable and Apocolypse, the technovirus, the Starjammers, etc.

I'd like to say yes to Avengers, but as we've seen with Justice League, a large team show just doesn't work. Too many characters, too little character development. A solo series for Captain America or Iron Man could work though. Wasn't that the reason Cap wasn't included on the recent Avengers flop, because there were plans for his own series?

I have too many good possibilites for the Marvel cartoons.

I agree with everyone that the Avengers should be given another go-round, especially after the success of Justice League. Silver Surfer and Spidey Unlimited should be finished, I didn't get into those series at the start, but halfway through I was into them.

I would also suggest a new Marvel Knights series, like the comics. Showcase the second class of Marvel's great heroes. Heores like Daredevil, Electra, Black Panther, Silver Sable, and Black Widow. It would be very cool, because they do things that aren't exactly "by the book." Spidey and the X-men are dramatic, but how often did them take on ninja assassins, or be mercenaries?

With the arrival of X-men: Evolution, I've dismissed my idea of another X-men series. I would have liked to see Excalibur, X-force (the first team with Cable and Domino), or the second X-factor team (Strong Guy, Polaris, etc.).

    Later.

Mayby not the same style but less corny than past marvel toons. I'd tune in for that.

I also agree with CaptainInfinity's version of the hulk. I love that book.

#4 Avengers! Done in the fashion of JL, but concentrate on the big guys as well. Cap, Iron Man, Thor, Hulk. Then add Hawkeye, Wonder Man, Scarlet Witch, and the Vision.

#3 Fantastic Four! I say base the scripts on the first run issues until #120 and you got a hit.

#2 Daredevil! Definitely, especially use influence of Frank Miller's run and even John Romita Jr.'s when he went to Hell and fought Mephisto.

#1 Dr. Strange!!!! I want this one badly. Peter Chang doing it (Aeon Flux, Phantom 2040), with a dark storyline like Spawn. Throw in guest stars like Moon Knight, Blade, Werewolf By Night, and Ghost Rider and you got a hit!

Daredevil is, at his best, a grittier hero than Batman. I think Daredevil would look better with, subdued, hyper-realistic backgrounds, especially of Hell's Kitchen. BTAS' use of shadows and abstraction isn't Daredevil's style. Batman is kind of like film noir, but Daredevil is more like a gritty Martin Scorsese film.

Avengers could work if they construct the plots properly. Maybe have 4 or 5 consecutive episodes focusing on 2 or 3 characters, then switch to another 2 or 3, etc,. The problem with Justice League sometimes is that they'd focus on 1 character for one episode, then switch to another one for another episode, so each characters only gets the equivalent of 10 minutes of fame in the show. I think a lot of team shows suffer from the "G.I. Joe" syndrome, where the show focuses more on plots than character. Plot driven shows work when with solo characters, but team driven shows work better when it's character-oriented.

    Never tire of this topic!

    Great topic Storm!

I have to say undeniably it has to be Captain America ! I think in this age of new found patriotism, I'm suprised it hasn't been announced yet. In addition, his immediate circle(Red Skull,Zemo,Taskmaster) hasn't been touched on yet in any series.

It's great redemption for that debacle of an Avengers series, and the cancelled plans on his own a few years ago. You could obviously incorporate the Avengers into several storylines, and cover those bases. It makes more sense than other property. Cap's only animated series to date is that "Captain America throws his mighty shield" 1967 pop up book series. That's inexcusable it hasn't been updated!
