The "old" Spiderman series to air?

    Like This Thread!
    Hey all!

I know it's been mentioned at this site before, but I thought that ABC Family intended to air the "old" Spiderman series (from the '60's)? Does anyone know if this is still so?

I taped the stuff that aired over this weekend, but it was all from the 90's Fox show.

I'm an old-timer, and I really want to get the old series on tape to recapture some of my childhood!

The show is airing in Canada right now on TELETOON. It airs Friday - Monday at 9pm and then reruns again at 1am. They air all the episodes except for one of them. I thought ABC Family was supposed to air these. Maybe they are just putting them off to air later.

Many people presumed that the series would air, after seeing so many Spider-Mans listed on the new line-up and the Memorial Day weekend specials. But ABC Family never confirmed it and it would appear that we won't be getting it.

I've been seeing nothing but the 60s cartoon here in Canada. I really hope they start airing the 90s cartoon. I was a bigger fan of that series; mainly because I grew up watching it

    Hey Aximili,

I waa really dissapointed that YTV or TELETOON didn't decide to air the 90's FOX cartoon at least during the run. I know one of those two channels has the right. I used to watch the 90's Spider-Man cartoon on both FOX and YTV when it ran. I'd like to see them all, like how ABCFamily is using them.

    Bummer...

Hmmm...so you guys in Canada are the lucky ones right now (in my book at least). Is this station available on satellite TV for US viewers?

I picked up some tapes of the old series at the San Diego ComicCon last summer which had been taped off of YTV...it looked like they had been taped in the late '80's and the quality was not very good...

I guess I'll just have to keep my fingers crossed that ABC Family is saving it for later or something along those lines.

I don't get it...everyone I know in my age range has very fond memories of the 60's series. Surely the show would garner some pretty good ratings from us old timers, and even pick up new viewers what with the huge success of the movie. Sometimes I just don't get what the network execs are thinking...maybe they should put me in charge!
