I saw the first part, but then I had to change over to watch Static. I like seeing Captain America's origin, and I learned something about it I didn't know before. Of course I'm talking about the twelve year old witness with the photographic memory who grew up to be "The Cat" and Felicia "Black Cat"'s father.

cool. I'm not the only guy who tries to juggle static shock and spiderman. I taped spiderman. i just got done watching. this was a great episode in my book. it really made me wanna see black cat in one of the spiderman movies. I loved how black Cat flirted with spiderman. I though The Cat was very cool and i liked they way his Va sounded. Its always cool to see some S.H.E.I.L.D.
aND I enjoyed every Cap cameo in spiderman and this one was no exception. Am i the only one who hopes JL:Tas goes the way of marvel cartoons did? Like in last weeks episode of X-men the had a quick cameo of Spidey, Misnori and others throughout the series. JL should do thinks like than when there in gotham or metropolis.
sorry if i got off topic a bit here.

I love the Black Cat. When I watched the series the first time, it was these two episodes that made me pay attention to the romance angle of Spider-Man. I went back and watched every episode because I wanted to understand the "love," so to speak.
These are two of my favorites (along with "The Hobgoblin" and "Spider Wars").

Sidetracking for a minute, I had always hoped the The Black Cat and Spider-Man would have revealed each other's identity during the Secret Wars, but oh well.

Exactly, definately Season 6 worthy if Marvel hadn't shut down. They probably would have also found Mary Jane....

But it's never going to happen now.

Mary Jane was with Peter in Spider-Man Unlimited, with no explanation given as to how she was found.
Poor Felicia. She basically knows who Wilson Fisk is behind the philanthropy and the photo ops--she probably knows even more about him that Peter/Spider-Man at this point, since she is essentially his mutant Barbie doll--but if she talks, she risks revealing her secret identity and possibly getting her father harmed. Though she and Spidey could compare notes on The Kingpin, as he's the only one she marginally trusts.

Although Spider-Man Unlimited features canon from the original FoxKids series, it is not a continuation of the FoxKids series. Especially since it takes place in 2099.

The second part "The Black Cat" aired today. I liked how this series handled The Black Cat's origins better than the comics. They grounded it a bit more in reality and made her power enhancements logical due to the Super Soldier Serum. I know some people were upset that they didn't bring in her "bad luck powers" but I'm glad they left those out. How do people think this version holds up against the comic version?

I'm not sure, I've never been especially fond of either of them. I think this episode is her strongest appearance, with the exception of the Kraven episode, because I found her to a pretty annoying character. Jennifer Hale's 'superhero' voice was pretty bad to boot, which is a shame, she absoloutly nailed snobby (spelling?) rich girl.

I agree with you about The Black Cat / Felicia Hardy for some reason I just did not like how she was handled on this series and I too wasn't too fond of how Jennifer Hale voiced her.

With that said this was still pretty good episode. I also feel that Peter should have been able to figure out that Felicia was the Black Cat.

I'm not a big fan of the Black Cat character overall but they handled her a bit better here. I like the idea that we was a forced test subject for a revised Super Soldier Serum. I think if I have any problem it's that she adapted to the roll way to fast. We don't know how long it's been between her being injected with the serum and then becoming the Black Cat. Given the life style Felicia led before becoming the Black Cat is must have taken alot of training to do what she does under the mask.

Spider-Man must find why Doctor Octopus is attempting to blackmail the Hardy family when he does find out that Felicia's father copy the Super Soldier formula and witness the creation of Captain America!

By this point in the show's run Black Cat was the main reason to watch. Her vampiness made the show fun to watch again while the writing was beginning to break down more and more with goofball ideas like Mary-Jane getting thrown through the dimensional vortex and what not. Though I have to admit I really don't know what they were thinking with this whole pump her up with the Super Soldier serum. I can only imagine how Black Cat fans felt about the way she was treated in the show at the time.
