Ah well, hopefully that means it'll be worth the wait...
MTV has delayed their new "Spider-Man" series until at least, January from November. For more details, click here.

This is actually a good thing for me. Now I have more of a chance to see it. Sounds weird, right? Not really, I don't get MTV and ever since I heard that this show was coming to MTV I have been bugging my parents about getting it. Now I think we'll have it in time for the show. Yay!![]()

I've got some mixed feelings on this. On one hand, I was really looking forward to this series and hate having to wait even longer to see it. But, on the other hand, I'm glad because hopefully it means that they'll take this extra time to perfect the scripts and animation for the first season. Would rather wait and see this new series at its best instead of having them rush it out and have the show turn out to be junk.

The one thing that bothers me is that its on MTV...
Where would you rather see it? CN?(I would, of course. Perfect for Toonami.)
To tell the truth, I thought it was coming out in early '03 instead of this year, so this doesn't really matter to me. I just hope it turns out as good as I'm expecting.
I'll have to toon in out of obligation.
I just hope I don't start seeing "Special guest stars Carson Daly as Doc Ock, Pink as Betty Brant, Kurt Loder as Kingpin and Lil' Bow Wow as the Punisher!".

Hey, I think little Bow Wow would make one helluva Punisher.

knowing mtv it will be canclled after pulling in great rateing and haveing a huge fan basde.
phffff... mtv actualy keeping a good show? never! they can't let anything touch their allmighty real world! it needs 2/3ds if mtv's scedual!
Lets hope this cartoon is better edited. The stories will no doubt be top class because of Brian Micheal Bendis. You think there's any chance of Paul Dini or Jeff Loeb writing episodes?
Maybe they will air it 50 times a week like they usually do with Tough Enough...![]()
That wouldn't be so bad...
TRL is dead!
Or maybe it's just Carson Daly.

Music Television has delayed the Spider-Man animated series, and nobody has heard anything regarding Mainframe's other contribution to the network, GateCrashers (based on the Black Bull comic that nobody has heard of except readers of Wizard, who also publish these books). Music Television has an abundance of shows that has nothing to do with music, and those that do are full of mindnumbing pap that has flooded our consciousness.
My question is this . . . why did Marvel even approach MTV to air an adaptation of the popular hero? MTV has been kind of cutting back on animated projects for a while now, cancelling anthologies like Liquid Television and Cartoon Sushi and shows like Daria, Undergrads, and the Emmy-winning Downtown (perhaps one of the best MTV cartoons ever made, if not THE best). And action cartoons on the network like Aeon Flux and Oddities, which showcased The Maxx and The Head (a series from the creator of Celebrity Deathmatch, Eric Fogel) don't get much of a chance either. Not to mention MTV has a record of delaying shows to the point of never airing them and airing reruns a few weeks after the first episode (once again, Undergrads come to mind).
So, I'll ask again, what was MTV thinking? I'm almost at the point of saying that they should let their sibling network, Nickelodeon, air it (they drastically need to air some real action shows on that net).
Come on, it's the character's 40th aniversary, and a new series to actually premiere to coincide with the awesome as hell live-action movie and the reemergence of well-drawn and well-written comic book stories in Amazing and Peter Parker would have been the icing on the red-and-blue cake. But it seems like MTV will disappoint viewers of quality . . . again.
What does the X stand for? It's definitely not Extreme. Extreme starts with E.
It's fully computer animated? Last I heard was that it was traditional animation with many computer touch-ups to make it semi-3D or something.
I heard It would be completely computer animated. I'm dying to see what happens in this series! I hope this series is cool not incredibely stupid. Does'nt this take place after the movie?

I'd heard it was a mixture of 2D and 3D... @_@
Now I think we're all confused. Anyone remember what was originally said?

Hmmm... The screenshots make it look like a videogame to me. The first two look kinda like some PC games I've played and the last two look like cinematics of a game for one of the Gamecube, Playstation 2, or Xbox systems. The webslinging ones don't really appeal to me but I'm sure they'll look better in action. It's not exactly what I expected but I still can't wait to see it!![]()
Just rent the VHS version of Spider-Man(I don't know if the DVD has this). In the movie previews they show some clips from the series. It looks pretty good to me. But then this is MTV after all....who knows how they'll screw up.

...please?
Well darn I was really looking forward to it. Actually I forgot about it. Does anybody know a possible timeslot or date for the series? Knowing MTV they'll probaly give it the worst timeslot ever.
