I don't think X-Men Evolution is going to give her extra powers anytime soon, since Carol Danvers probably won't show up. And I don't think the writers screwed up in either case. Rogue's only "natural" power is to absorb people's memories and abilities, and in both the movie and the show, she's just a teenager, not the voluptuous adult from the comic and TAS with all the baggage. I personally hope they keep her strength-and-flight-free.
