    The "Avengers" cartoon...

    Like This Thread!
Does anyone remember this one? that fxk Avengers cartoon in wich all the characters wore this armor , and Cap , Thor and Ironman werent in the team.
I liked that cartoon , and i diged the charachter desing m especially Tigra , Antman and Scarlet Witch , and most of all , Ultron , who looked really scary.
The thing is , is it just me , or are the cyrrent version of the Scarlet Witch (The one on Ultimate X-men and in X-men evolution) based on that character design? , cause that was the first time i ever saw Scarlet Witch with black hair and that suit.( the hawkeye costume on the other side , never bugged me , as ive seen people who hated it)
The thing is , im the only one that enjoyed that show (even as i still think they should have been fighting more people than robots , but still....)? , i digged the intro music and sequence , and that shot of the avengers under that imposing image of Thor , Ironman and Cap , was great!
last , im actually hoping they do an avengers cartoon , and as JL and X-men :Evolution has proved , a superhero team cartoon can be done quite right.
Heres hoping for another avengers toon!

Uhg..I'm sorry but I couldn't stand the Avengers cartoon in the least. The toys were really cool, though.

Scarlet Witch, over the years...he design hasn't really changed much. The new XME version is TOTALLY new. She's based more off of modern-day wicken dress(I actually know one or two people who dress just like that...same hair, to). But, Scarlet Witch has always had that lingerie-over-spandex suit look to her, with cape & funny head-dress. From what I remember, her design on the cartoon was just like in the comics...same with Tigra(although her head was changed a lot from what I remember).

Whatever animation crew who worked behind Avengers...I pray they either improve their game immensly, or never work again(I know thats a harsh thing to say...but I honestly felt it was THAT bad. All except the Captain America episode..that one wasn't so bad......)

My tremendous intuitive sense of the female creature informs me that you are troubled...

I could watch just about anything that Marvel released in the last decade... INCLUDING season 1 of the Marvel Action Hour's Fantastic Four. But I just could not sit to watch that show.

I really liked the Avengers series too, but I'm somewhat of a Super-Hero Cartoon addict so pretty much anything will please me.

It was terrible. I had high hopes for this one and it was just mush. Bad stories, corny voices...fortunately, I've forgotten a lot of the details, but I have a tape in case I ever want to remind myself...

Ultron was the corniest one of all. He would say things, and I would just sit there and shake my head in disbelief of how terrible they sounded. Not just dialogue, but the VA too.

Hawkeye's redesign was silly, none of the "Big Three" were there...I'm a huge Marvel fan, and that's the first Marvel toon that I just wanted to see fail.

Better make it three people that agree. Personally I really enjoyed this show and I took it for what it was with little to no expectations. I thought that Wonder Man and Vision both stood out as great characters and I was really happy to have a Namor, Cap and Iron Man episode in the short lived series. I honestly think that a second season would have been far better but it was interesting to see the "new" team and Ant-Mans trials to become a leader. Overall a good series and I wasn't the least bit bothered by Hawkman's costume.

Also for the nay-sayers. Avengers was actually given the go ahead for a second season but the impending Marvel financial problems did the show in - coupled with the surge of Digi-mania crud that took the Fox airwaves over during the time period. To think we were so close to seeing even more.

Sweet..I get to be No. 4 (my fave number)

I loved that show, it was pretty gooda nd was really interesting around the time when Vision started to fall in love with the scarlet Which due to his mind being bascly WonderMan. ANd Ant man being the leader was perfect. I really liked the show, I was sad to see it go. But that's what Bankruptcy will do. Alot of good shows die, due to that crap.

X-Men, Spider-Man,Silver Surfer, and Avengers... Rats.

The thing is , now that x-men evolution is a hit , and the upcoming spiderman cgi show , an avengers cartoon may not be so far. lets hope for it.
So , for those who liked it , wich was the best episode?
my pick is the one with Cap and the masters of evil , cause seeing antman trying to prove himself as a worthy sucessor of cap really hit me close.(i still cant rember which was the final chapter , cause here was the one in wich Wonderman goes into energy mode during a battle with those zodic guys)

    Season 2

Want to now what the producers had planned for season 2 of the show?

A 2-part cross-over with the X-Men and a Thor episode. If you ever see the old prototype of the second wave of Avenger figures, you will find their design of Thor. He has a beard and a pony-tail.

This why I say that disney needs to by marvel. The money and animation facilities that disney have at their disposal, they would be able to make a kickbutt avengers cartoon.

As for the avemgers cartoon itself, I have a love/hate feeling for the show itself. I hated the animation ,although the introduction was phat and the animation in the kang, circus of crime, egghead, the 2nd episode, and the episode with ultrons children on that island episodes were alright. Some times the background art looked great, other time it looked like crap. All the character designs were cool except for hawkeye (in his armor form) and iron man. I hated that they had armor and that the events took place in the future. I hated the CGI ,especialy wonderman when he was in his energy form. I hated that they tried to write/portray the avengers like the x-men cartoon, minus the racism angle. I hated the quin jet. I liked that the avengers were government agents. I hated that they made hank the leader (wasp should have been leader).

I think if they were to ever do another avengers cartoon, they should get the people who work on the 2nd seasons of the fantastic 4 and iron man as well a the people behind x-men:evolution to work on the show. They should also get the anime studio behind the giant robo OAV to do the animation.
