Was Electro in the FoxKids Spiderman series?
So I'm watching the Spidey-thon on ABCFamily, and the current 60s episode, "To Catch a Spider," features Electro. I got to thinking, was Electro ever in the FoxKids one? I can't for the life of me remember him in the series.

Electro appeared first, as early as Amazing Spider-man #8 or 9, drawn by Steve Ditko. Shocker appeared in Amazing Spider-man during the Romita years (#40-something I believe).

why would they create dangerously similar characters like that?
Electro is the original.
Why would they create the Shocker? Why have 2 villains who use elctricity as a weapon?
Spidey writers are guilty of making copycats:
Green Goblin-Hobgoblin-Demogoblin
Venom-Carnage-Scream, etc....
Electro-Shocker
no mas!!!
by the way: who's in the Electro vid game: i hear Sandman, who are the other bosses?

They're not similar. Shocker's just a two-bit thug with vibro-shock armbands that generate highly pressurized air. Electro can control all electricity.
Besides Sandman, the Lizard shows up, but I think that's it.

Game
Shocker also appears on the video game.

Electro appeared in Amazing Spider-Man #9 and Shocker was in Amazing Spider-Man #46.
And the villains in the Electro game were Shocker, Sandman, Beetle (but you never fought him), Hammerhead, Lizard, and Electro.

I'm not too sure about how Electro was in the comics, but in the 90s cartoon, they did a great job seperating him from Shocker. Like CE said, Shocker was just a two-bit thug with electric gauntlets. Electro was the result of Red Skull's greatest plan to create his own "Super-Soldier" against Captain America. Electro was pretty much invincible, kinda like Magneto except with electricity.
