X-Men Evolution:Day of Reckoning. Reviews and thoughts here.

I'll try to keep this spoiler-free.

Man, they certainly saved the best for last didn't they? I mean, probably the biggest action set-piece of any episode to date, concurrent with a medium action-piece that actually gave the New Mutants something to do. And for once, not-Amara didn't make me want to throw my shoe through the television! And Cannonball had speaking lines! w00t!

    Spoiler:

Collussus: Anybody else's heart go pitterpat when the huge Russian armored up? Although for most of the episode he was basically an evil Cannonball. Just stood in the back and did nothing. I'm thinking that (Collossus appearing)+(Shadowdance)next season =(Collossus kidnapping Nightcrawler to retrieve Ilyanna.)

Gambit: I found it hilarious that he could seduce Rogue without a single speaking line. Of course, given that her character is 17 and he's apparently 25, it'd qualify as pedophilia if they did anything together.

That Sentinel was the coolest one they've ever had. Its design really reminded me of the battle mode of Iron Giant.

Did the ending remind anyone else of the end of the first Brood arc in Uncanny X-Men? That whole last final double-cross was classic.

My only question: Where was Rahne? And will they move to Ireland for next season while the mansion is rebuilt?

    Spoiler:
They do start young here in the South, though. Most twentysomething guys wouldn't think much of deflowering a barely-legal lass. But I guess Magneto warned him about her, because he knew enough to look and not touch. I suppose she'd happily forgive him, though, if they meet again, for nearly decapitating her. Funny thing is, Rogue held that card for several seconds before chucking it--either she's pretty dippy or they don't give off heat when they're charged up?

Does evolution take place in another dimension or somthing?Really?I mean they are seriously screwing everything up in that series. Look:
1.)Gambit never worked for Magneto or showed like he had a past with him in the original "X-Men series" and that Gambit was so weird acting also.
2.)Rogue didn't meet professor X until after she met with mystique and got her flying abilities and strength.
3.)Worst of all.The Sentinel. What a crappy design compared to the ones in "X-men".
Currently buying: Gun Sword, Black Cat, Shana, Negima, Tsukoyomi Moon Phase, Best Student Council, Case closed season 2+3
On the lookout: School Rumble, Tsubasa, AMG s2, Keroro Gunso

    1. I think it has been stated that Evolution does not take place in the same universe as any of the other X tv series or even the movie (although it borrows designs from the movie it seems). So the writers have leway in how they want to do the characters.

    2. I like the idea of Gambit working for Magneto. Even in the Fox X-men he had a shadowed past that hinted that he wasn't a totally noble hero type. Plus I like how they hinted at a possible crush between Rogue and Gambit. Plus, I'm pretty sure Colossos never worked for Magneto in any of the other realities, but it was cool to see a redesign of him.

    3. I thought the Sential design was good. It was more prototype robot like than the smooth polished design of the other X-men cartoon from Fox. Plus it didn't speak which made it even more menacing.
