X-Men: Evolution "Day of Reckoning" Preview (No Spoilers!)

Comics Continuum has posted some preview info for the second season finale of X-Men: Evolution "Day of Reckoning"

Kids' WB! has provided an official logline to "Day of Reckoning," the two-part episode that concludes the second season of X-Men: Evolution on Saturday, May 11.

Here's how the network describes the episode:

"The X-Men team joins with their rivals The Brotherhood, forcing one member of the X-Men to leave the group. This new alliance goes head-to-head with arch-nemesis, Magneto and his group of misfits…changing the lives of every mutant in a dramatic twist of fate."

The episodes will include characters who have not been seen on X-Men: Evolution before. Kids' WB! has distributed more than 100 tapes of the episodes to the media, but has requested plot details be kept secret.

Looks like now is as good as time as any for my least favorite character Spike(I will refrain from calling him "Token") and some sort of better character development for Nightcrawler(that foreign kid trying to be cool angle has got to go!)

So will you be watching this ep? I know I will just to see if my dreams come true.

How about watch it and just tell me if Spike gets killed, maimed, mutilated, or hurt or killed in any other way? I don't really want to know any of the other facts till I see the ep, but that would make me want to see it even more!

Arrrggghh....Man, I really wanna see those episodes (thank god they're going to be shown back-to-back). I've always loved the idea of the Brotherhood and the X-Geeks fighting side-by-side. Oh, and I cannot WAIT to see who's on Magneto's team! *prays for Gambit*

I can't wait. I wonder you leaves the team. I would like 2 is Gambit too and Hopefully Storm will getting better screen time on season 3.

I think maybe Rogue. She's considered the outcast of the group, and maybe this confrontation will change her mind about the X-Men. And with Kids'WB! seemingly getting more and more leanient when it comes to action and violence, I think we may be in for an action packed two part episode. I can't wait for this episode. I can't believe I'm actually looking forward to an X-Men: Evolution episode.

I can see Kitty leaving the X-Men for the Brotherhood, if Scott forbids her to see Lance anymore. I thought about Rogue too, but she really hasn't been the outcast this season (she's become more of a team player, and she's developed a friendship with someone OTHER than an X-Men) Plus, there's her feelings for Scott, and if Mystique is still in charge of the B'Hood when the smoke clears, I doubt she'll join them.

I swear, if they get rid of Evan, Evo will have one fewer fan. Yeah, I know some people think he's a "token." I think he's an integral part of the team and has really cool powers. Jim, you could be right about Rogue being the one to go, but I doubt it -- especially if Gambit turns out to be one of Magneto's mutants. Jean and Scott are also not going anywhere because their love story (excuse me while I vomit repeatedly) will be a focal part of Season 3. I also think that Kitty will not go anywhere, because a) Lance showed he was something less than an idiot in "Joyride" and b) I think she's the writer's pet (other than Spyke, that is.) I also can't see her joining the BH. Not even for Lance. It could be one of the new mutants (I saw Berzerker in one of the screencaps), but why? All of the new mutants combined had about three lines this season. Why bother cutting one of them? I'm guessing the writers want this season to end with a bang, and really, very little people would care if say, Rahne, decided to quit. No, it'll be someone from the core team, and based on my reasoning, it'll be Spyke. When/if that happens, I will quietly turn off the TV, sigh, and try to figure out what else to watch in that time slot on Saturday mornings.

I don't see any Gambit anywhere, but I think it would be neat if he popped in. From the sneek peek pics, this episode looks like it's gonna be very enjoyable. Ya gotta love Mystique's new leather look, although she looks more green than usual. I still think it may be Rogue, I don't see Evan going anywhere. There's no way Ororo would let his nephew do that!

im inclined to agree with da man here,Jim its probably Rogue and i would probably pass out to see a teenage Gambit.

I would be so stoked to see Gambit. I could see why Rogue might be the one to leave, but Spike's wanted to leave once before too, so I could see him leaving as well. Can't really see Kitty leaving, but you never know. I'm just interested to see what kind of part the witch will play in all of this...her powers are insane! Poor Pietro.

i9f you look at the pictures in Toonzone news theirs one with Rogue and a guy covered in orange stuff and the guy looks like a young Gambit...

Reasons:

Kurt - He's to good.. he's very surfy like.

Jean & Scott - Their inlove and are still in x-men in every story told.

Rogue - She has turned into a good person this season so i wouldnt see why she would leave

Evan: He is also good and his aunt is in X-Men sp i dunno..

Storm - Come on... it's storm!!!!

Wolverin: Sabertooth is with Magneto

Kitty - She's good but she likes Lance.

Has anyone thought that maybe the character who does leave, will only do so because he/she dose'nt want to work with the brotherhood. I also think that the character who does leave, will leave in the 1st part of the reckoning, only to return in the 2nd. All in all, I think it will be cyclops who will leave.

The person in the picture is one of the 'new mutants' introduced this season, not Gambit. I can't remember his name for the life of me, but he's not Gambit.
