Marvel has been a lot more secretive in general since Jeph Loeb and Joe Quesada were promoted to their current positions, while DC has been the more open company. Heck Marvel didn't even hold a Q&A this year. They just don't interact very much with outsiders anymore, or, rather, they interact with fans and outsiders as little as possible.

Given the bad reactions to just about everything that has come out of Loeb's mouth, small wonder; look at the reaction to the Men of Action video (they're in an even worse spot).

At this point, its all about damage contgrol without admitting there was anything to fix; unfortunately, in the process of defending what they have done they have shot all their credibility to heck. Loeb is walking a tightrope at Disney; if the revisions being made to USM make it less onjectionable (or even watchable), and Hulk isn't too much worse than mediocre, there is a genuine chance that Avengers Assemble could actually build a base and restore his reputation. What he really needs right now is no more highly visible gaffes - so don't be surprised that not much information is going to leak they can show something that will get people excited, not throw gas on the fire of discontent.

Yeah they really don't want any negative things said about what they've done, publically at least. If they can stop fans directly asking them why USM and EMH season 2 are so bad then they can continue this charade of, "the only complaints about it are from the internet so they don't matter." Which they can only do for so long before someone at a con, in front of a lot of people, tells them how much they think these shows suck.

    Shameful.

Really guys? No matter what you think about the direction of Marvel Animation and Loeb, these people are still human beings at the end of the day.

It was a joke. I'm pretty sure none of us actually want to decapitate Jeph Loeb.

It's a pretty common turn of phrase.

What's the point of decapitating him, anyway? I believe that, even when removed from his body, the head will spout irritating jokes and half-truths regarding animated shows.

Okay, back on topic. Any "new" news on AA yet?

With all due respect - you really need to learn to not allow people's opinions - which you can't change - to draw you into Yet Another Argument with you defending Loeb; its like arguing about whether BENDIS! is a hack or whether or not AEMH is in continuity with some other show. Once you've had your say once, letting yourself be dragged into the issue again (or worse, trying to re-start an issue because you know it'll anger some, and you want the meagre satisfaction of trolling) makes anyone doing the argument again look like an immature fool. You're better than that - or at least I like to think so; learn to let it go.

Of course, free advice is rarely worth the asking price, let alone my advice, which is even worse. Carry on!

There goes any chance it being in-continuity with AEMH.

Oh c'mon... Loeb's weasel statement notwithstanding, we knew it wasn't going to be in continutiy with AEMH. While I love the show, its done. Lets not hold its demise against this show, but rather judge it on its merits when we see it.

Agreed. Somehow I fear even if It's unanimously good, people will still blame Disney and ask for EMH back. I'm ever the optimist as MOA's emh episodes weren't that bad and I want to say that's only because they were working with someone else's material.

As for the cast. I'll miss them. It's completely understandable that just like Yost and Kyle reused actors for their projects so would Loeb and MOA. Given they're both pretty snarky I imagine Baker's Hawkeye will sound just like his Nova in MVC3.
