It's a great interview. It's always interesting to find out more about those Marvel Productions shows and how they came to be. I can only imagine how things might have turned out if they didn't have the creative guys, that were fans of the source material, around to nag the higher ups about details and characters. They didn't win every battle but thank goodness for the few that they did.It sounds like he's had a good time working on the new Avengers series. It's probably the kind of experience he would have loved to have while working on those early shows. I'm really looking forward to seeing it.
The 1970s Fantastic Four show is probably my least favorite FF series and it always felt weird that it happened to be the one that both Stan and Jack worked on. It's a shame that Jack didn't really get how storyboards were supposed to be done but it would be pretty cool if any of those storyboards turned up now. I'd love to see how Jack's stuff compares to what came about in the final product.
It's always looked strange that Dr. Faustus turned out how he did but it does make a lot of sense if the look was based on Dennis Marks.
