Great interview! I was a little disappointed that he didn't answer HOW he got the assignment.

David really has a great style and he truly captured the feel of the comics of the time on the Volume 1 cover. Volume 2 and 3 seem to have a bit more manga influence but they are still very nice. I'd love to see him draw a X-Men comic.

This is pretty cool. I actually remember reading about him when he first won the contest years ago but I'd never seen his art until recently. I think the stuff he's done for these sets are great, particularly Volume One which I love.

Great interview, they couldn't have picked a better person to draw the cover art. It does have a bit of an anime look to it (especially the third), which isn't surprising, and it's very exciting to hear that there are plans to get the ENTIRE series out when for more the past few years we've had to settle for either crappy bootleg versions, watching the show online or the inferior Evo.

About the only thing that worries me? That the concept for Volume 3 will end up being scrapped.

Anyone pleased we got volume 2's used cover, instead of this?

There is no such thing as a dumb question. Only a dumb answer.

I'm sure there is not a whole lot more to the story than what he said:

Nothing too exciting, I'm afraid. Disney found me on the interwebs and offered me the job.

    Cool. Thanks!

I must admit...I'm absolutely stunned that Disney picked such a good choice. They really seemed to have turned a corner with this release.

Soo...was that a confirmation that the remaining 43 episodes will be on the last two volumes? Meaning, only 4 volumes total?

David only says he will do the artwork on the 'remaining volumes', it's MAA that specifically says volumes three and four, so I would say we are not positive yet that there will only be two more volumes.
