Picked up the 2-disc SE @ Wallyworld this morning, but haven't had a chance to open it. I think the Wal-Mart "exclusive" is a Hulk-Wolverine comic.

I probably should've held off on posting anything, since I haven't even had a chance to take off the wrapping; but I just thought I'd say that I was quite impressed with what I saw of the animation for this in the previews that were on the (otherwise crappy) Next Avengers DTV. It looks like Marvel has FINALLY taken a cue from DC and gone with a more stylized animation, which makes for much more graceful, fluid character movement, as well as more effectively emotive faces -- a big step up IMO from Marvel's old quasi-"realism" style with its somewhat awkward, jagged movement and wooden expressions.

I guess, to be honest, I've only really really liked about 3 superhero DTVs that I've seen, ever; and none of them were Marvel. But I am looking forward to getting a look at this one.

Dang I knew I picked up the wrong version, but my Best Buy only had the one copy and I didn't really want to go to another store. Guess I'll have to return it and get the 2 disc later.

What is in the comic? Is it a reprint of Incredible Hulk #181 or something? I picked up my copy of the Blu-ray at Best Buy and I'd consider returning it to get a good bonus like that, especially for how inexpensive it is to pick up this release. What other exclusives are there?

Don't bother with Target, I was duped into the "Target Exclusive 2nd Disc" for the single disc edition......all it is is a cd rom with 1 digital comic on it....so not worth it.

Oops! Sorry, Spider-Man --- I missed seeing your post! I guess maybe it's too late for this to do you any good, but anyway: I don't remember the comic # (I'm at my office right now), but it's Wolverine's first appearance.

Marvel Animation Age says Hulk Versus sold almost 180,000 copies in the first week, almost three times as much as Next Avengers. How do these numbers stack up against the other releases?

im assuming better, because wasn't next avengers the best selling DTV pre-hulk vs?

    So Far Best MARVEL DTV

    Wow,
    Good stuff.
Got a good deal on Amazon too.
The Wolverine movie was as violent as a 80's action movie.
The only thing it was missing was Arnold & some profanity.
But all kidding aside it was well staged action in a style
that is suppose to be over the top & delivers those goods.
Great voice acting & excellent music!
Plus you gotta love all the Wolverine lore.
The Hulk design on this one is best since the 1982 show!

The Thor movie was my favorite though.
The Asgard backgrounds look so cool.
The story seemed tighter as well,
or at the least just more interesting to me.
Really felt like a silver or bronze age type story.
    Very thoughtful.
The ending with Banner on the lonely highway
Bill Bixby style was also a nice touch.

Overall I had a excellent experience with this one.
Not having the buyers remorse I had with Avengers 2.
Hands down this is the best Marvel DTV so far.

On the dvd there is a trailer for Next Avengers?
What the hell we're they thinking?
    This looks like complete crap.
Maybe thats why there selling it at Amazon for 6 bucks.
This title had to of tanked.

Please Marvel keep making good stuff like Hulk Versus.
And stop making crap like Next Avengers.

I found Hulk VS to be a great animated film, but there was no real winner in the fights and that always leaves me miffed in the end, but as a whole I was very happy with these and the animation style presented here, good job marvel!

No, it's not. It's just not targeted for the same audience as Hulk Vs.
But still, it's really well done, and probably the best animation on a Marvel DTV prior to Hulk Vs.
