DC or Marvel who is most deserving of an animated series?

I was mulling over who has gotten the shaft in terms of current animation in commercial comics. The answer hit me like an adamantium/vibranium shield upside my cranium, CAPTAIN AMERICA! This is a time of new found patriotism, and Cap if done right could really fit the bill. His immediate circle has barely been touched upon in any animated version from Marvel. In addition this gives them a chance for redemption with a few Avengers guest spots for botching that project soooo fricken bad in 1999, it was gastric! The list would go like this in deserving their own series. Please feel free to add to it. No particular order except Cap.

3. Thor
4. Deadpool
5. Aquaman
6. Green Lantern(Hal or Kyle or both)
7. Teen Titans(or Titan's)
8. Green Arrow
9. Thunder-Bolts
10. Captain Marvel(SHAZAM)

I always wanted a good X-men done . One that follows the marvel universe's history!
but all of the marvel's animation shows bombed like there's no tomorrow .
The only thing that came out from marvel that was actually pretty good was the X-men movie and that was done by Fox 20 century

Spider-man the 90's animated series was great! Shows like TMNT, Captain Planet don't stand the test of time like Spidey!

If and when the Justice League show closes its doors, I wouldn't mind seeing either a Nightwing or a Green Lantern (Kyle!) solo series.

Maybe I have a faulty memory...but wasn't X-MEN in the early 1990's almost a direct adaption of the comic stories tamed down for younger audiences?

The answer is not one animated series. The answer is a series about the DC and Marvel universes...a la Super Powers...each episode focuses on a different character...

Both the Fox Kids SpiderMan & X-Men cartoons were based on the comics, but both suffered from taking a whole bloody (figuratvly, not literally..blood, in a cartoon?) season to tell a story. History has shown, that people don't pay attention, and quickly lose intrest. Then there was Fox's disasterous Spiderman Unlimited...which had a cool looking spiderman, and that was about it. We need a decent Spidey Cartoon...

The Spider-Man and X-Men shows were both very true to their comic counterparts, that's for sure. However they (especially Spidey) had season long stories that got too hard to follow. I also seem to remember the last season or two of Spidey got real lame by having him go on some cosmic mission from "Madam Web".
X-Men Evolution is slighty better because 1) The Animation isn't as dul as the 90's show and 2)There isn't season long stories, well there was but they are easier to jump on to. However, from the few episodes I have watched, there isn't a lot of exciting action. Also, I think this time they strayed too far from the comics having the characters all go to the same highschool. It's almost like an animated Smallville.

The "lame mission" was acctually where in the comics, Spidey got his Black Suit....aka Pre-Venom.

As to X-men evolution, wen I first saw it I thought to myself, oh, they've made X-Men babies!

I've only seen the premiere of Smallville, so I have no comments on it @ this time..=]

GL is my favorite DC Superpowered Superhero.

I am not as of yet liking GL on JL, and I much prefered the Batman/Superman cameo GL.

You know, there really was a Captain America toon planned for Fox waaaaaay back when the original X-Men series was going on, but it fell through. The possibility of that series kept Cap from being a full-time member in the Avengers show, so that explains why the line-up was pretty much the West Coast Avengers.

But it doesn't explain why the show was set 20 years in the future for no apparent reason... or why they all had cheesy sets of armor...

You would think they'd get back to the CAP project in the next 50 years or so? It seems redundant with this X-Men, Spider-man fascination. They really need to promote another entity, and Cap with our current terrorist threats seems like the perfect fit and timing. There is sooo much potential there, I guarantee you hear an announcement about this any day now.
