Every show has its dark side of fanbase. It's hardly unique to FIM

    Confound these pony posers!

If it's any consolation, I'm pretty sure this hasn't actually happened for non-young females in non-Internet settings.

Most people probably actually do mean the design when they say that.

But, while I think you're basically right about the smoothness being acceptable, I would add the show does a pretty good job of animating facial expressions and reactions. They do more with that than I would've thought.

That ad was awesome. I never expected The Hub to give a shoutout to us but that was awesome.

    I love this fanbase.

Regarding the animation, I usually hate shows done in flash. It makes it look lazy. I can't stand watching Johnny Test. However, FiM manages to pull off the Flash animation well. Sometimes I still cringe where there are some obvious Flash animation moments but for the most part I find the animation to be very pleasing.

"You escaped from the moon? Banished to Second Season"

I'll be honest. I'm really glad this show became a giant meme because it was what got a lot of people to watch it and appreciate it for what it truly is. Myself included. This show wouldn't have been nearly as popular as it is if it wasn't for the fanbase.

Those who want to have fun making Pony macros can have it. As long as it's in good fun there's nothing wrong with that. I for one am eager for season 2 since this is a great place to talk about it, and the talkbacks recieve great feedback here. I love this fanbase. *brohoof*

Oh, and "Trollestia" is the best meme ever. There, I said it.

That was amazing, I didn't think they'd add an extra minute, but they did and it's just... wow.

I'm sortof impartial to flash since like ANY kind of animation how well it fits varies between series to series. But here it's so remarkably exceptional and it helps that the animators are so incredibly inventive that I don't really even care as long as I am impressed and entertained.

More props imho should be given to the designs of the ponies. I look at the older MLP designs and just ask myself why did they ever think focusing a show on multi-coloured horses that look like the real thing was a good idea. The stylized designs just work and are so appealing that whenever I think of what a pony looks like, it's not a regular horse, it's the FiM design.

The older designs have started to look rather unappealing to me (especially G3). Not that they had that much appeal to me in the first place, as I had no interest in the franchise until this incarnation.

Anybody thinks that could work as an opening theme?

    Well, it is 90 seconds.

Not I. It seems more like a promo sort of song anyway, and it would easily date the show.

Though I don't like the existing theme song anyway.

Yeah, it's a cool song and all, but I don't see it as the main theme at all.

True, but honestly, I don't think it would. Really, it seems to be a revelation of sorts, Hasbro finally recognizes FiM's periphery demographic (That being us bronies) and decided to do a parody of a popular song for our amusement (With Pinkie Pie as an added bonus) So as a standalone song, it rocks (Though the source material reeks), but as a title theme, nah, the one we have ATM works well, though I saw an AMV of the main theme, but it was replaced by Superjail's theme (It's eerie how well it fits), but that's another thread.

It's more fanservice than anything else, case and point, but it was a nice gesture from the fine folks at Hasbro.

Pardon if the question itself sounds stupid, but I need to know: what does bronie mean? Is it a mix of "bro" & "pony"?

It refers to older male fans of FIM. In some circles it has come to mean older fans of the show in general (male AND female)

    Yeah, basically.

I personally use the first definition myself, but most people on the sites I go to use the latter.

To me, Brony is a term I use to refer to any male fan of MLP:FiM. Since you know, everyone is male on the internet unless proven otherwise.

For the record I've seen "Fillies" being used to refer to older female fans of the show, although it's not as widespread as "Brony".

Do you think Hasbro could make an SFX-free version to distribute to Top 40 radio stations? If you question the legality, then you should know they are protected by parody/satire clause, but it wouldn't hurt to get Perry's permission.

Let's not get ahead of ourselves. The song is amusing to us, but can you imagine the reaction of a normal person that isn't even aware that there is a new My Little Pony series, much less that it's actually good?
Reality is only for those who can't handle Star Trek.
