I was just doing a little reading on wiki and I found this little tidbit:
There is some suggestion that Beach Head is related to the Checkpoint character from Hasbro's C.O.P.S toy line: Checkpoint's real name is listed as Wayne R. Sneeden III, and it is stated that his father was a member of a top secret military team during the '80s and '90s.
Thats --- err interesting. So at this point, Hasbro seems to have G.I Joe, M.A.S.K. and C.O.P.S. all in the same universe with some off and on intermingling with Transformers.
Is any thing else in universe ? Some how I expect Duke to randomly be riding a magical pony next :-|

Jem and the Inhumanoids are also in the universe, as is battle beasts (though hasbro no longer owns the license to the latter, making me wonder about the headmasters ep featuring the characters). And as for MLP, Buzz Dixon did propose a scene for the MLP movie where one of the ponies encountered a drunken shipwreck, freaking him out, but the studio said no the the scene.

I thought Inhumanoids would be a natural one to consider. On that note though, as far as I know, Hasbro owned that series absolutely outright.
Jem potentially being in universe has some interesting conentations.

I heard that the scene had the ponies dancing through a field and after they leave, Shipwreck sits up in the tall grass and goes "What the *@&%#!?!"
I know the following shows are not in the same universe, GI Joe and Transformers, (I mean giant robots fighting each other, and the Joes and Cobra ignore, highly unlikely) and of MLP:FIM and everything else. Lauren Faust has stated there are no humans at all in the world of FIM.
Though the thought of Jem and FIM being in the same universe, that would be an interesting thought.

A lot of people don't know / don't remember this, but there was a whole comic series based upon G.I. Joe and Transformers in continuity with one another. Later on, MASK was introduced into the mix.
These were DC / Marvel crossovers and were all pretty interesting sounding. I've only seen covers (back in the day) and read summaries of them. I apparently had one of the lead in comics as well.
The way the story goes is the rumors of "transforming vehicles" inspired the military to make many of the vehicles we saw in GI Joe and MASK.
I'd tend to agree that it wouldn't be cool to tie them together in the current animated series, but it seems Hasbro has already dropped in show "hints" that it may not out of the question. Not when I say "hints", I mean things that seem like Easter Eggs, but nothing that has been outright confirmed and could simply be coincidence (only time will tell at this point).
There's an episode of season 3 of G1 where the bad guys employ the help of a mysterious man called 'old snake' who is essentially Cobra Commander. At the end of the episode he walks away and starts shouting 'COOOOOOOBBRAAAAAA!" but starts coughing halfway through.

On top of that, there's apparently a Transformers character named Melissa Fairborn who was identified by Flint Dille as Flint and Lady Jaye's daughter. Apparently, he says so on an interview on the DVD of the Transformers movie.
I'm taking all that on faith, since I've never seen the bulk of TF G1, but heard about her from various Joe-related info sites.

Oh yeah forgot that bit. Marissa Fairborn's father shows up in an episode (as an hologram used by someone to trick her) and is designed as an older version of Flint.
I wish that in addition to Marissa Fairborn and Cobra Commander (appearing in Transformers) there would've been more crossovers in the G.I. Joe and Transformers series. I've said for a long time that it would've been kinda cool to have seen the Joes be the military that attacked the Decepticons while the Autobots were in space in "Megatron's Master Plan."

So far in both the newer series, there's been some easter eggs / red hearings that seem to be MASK related.
For instance: in the episode Knockoffs from GI Joe, the first seen where Mind Bender gets the device that ultimately becomes Zartan's shape shifter appears to be Boulder Hill and the scientist looks like a skinner version of Alex Sector (one of MASKs main tech guys).
In the episode Convoy of Transformers, they are attacked by a group named M.E.C.H. which, from the comics, is a Cobra silent tech affiliate. Its headed by a guy named Silas who looks like Max Mayhem (Miles Mayhem's half borther) and is using an alias similar to one used in the comics.
Are these easter eggs, red hearings or hints of whats to come? We will find out!

I can see Eric Raymond and Misfits Music being involved with Extensive Enterprises (Cobra's "Legitimate Business" run by Tomax and Xamot) somehow. And it would have been an amusing in-joke if they had Wreck-Gar (The Junkion who talks entirely in tv, movie, and music quotes) quote a Jem song as well.

I hope you are not just judging by just watching the Jem marathon today, have you seen the entire Jem and the Holograms series?
If not, you need to see episode 19 ThePrincess And The Singer before you can really judge them.
I havent seen the entire Jem series, but i have seen numerous episodes (albiet out of order). And as for the Eric Raymond and Extensive Enterprises thing, im not implying that Eric would join cobra, he may just have EE be distributors of misfits albums, unaware of their terrorist connection. In fact, i could see him and the misfits eventually finding out about it, disgusted that some misfits money went to fund an evil organization and telling the joe team about EE's secrets, helping them to shut EE down, and causing Eric to be a more prudent businessman, maybe even making up with Jerrica/Jem (i havent seen the whole series so i dont know if Eric eventually "turns face" as they say).

Well I don't want to spoil the series. But I will say this, while a lot of their schemes nearly killed Jem and the Holograms, that has never been Eric and the Misfits indent. If anything Eric's henchmen Zipper is more evil than them, at least when it comes to attempted homicide as demonstrated in another episode he don't care if one of the Holograms dies. Rare for a henchmen to be more evil than his employers, except for cases like Catwoman's henchmen.
But if you want I will tell you in the spoiler tag.
Spoiler:
Eric's last appearance is in The Day The Music Died, after the Misfits take over the Starlight home and realise what a hazzle it would be to have to raise the Starlight girls, Pizzazz offers to sell back Starlight music to Jerrica, but before she does Eric offers to buy it, but than the Starlight girls reminds him he would have to raise them and quickly renages his offer, and we never see him again.
It is assumed, he just gave up when he realised what over Starlight music would mean, in others the Starlight girls scared him away.
And outside of a camero in another episode, when Pizzazz and Jem fight over the lead singer of the Stingers, (also Pizzazz appears early on in the last episode in a non speaking role, apperately collaborating with Riot of the Stingers on some solo project, Jem inturupts the recording seccion to talk to someone there and Pizzazz says nothing) the next time we see the Misfits is in the last episode, they changed the ways and offer a truce to Jem and the Holograms, and they accepted.
So it appears by the calender of events, the Starlights girls scared Eric away, and scarred the Misfits to a point of them turning good without any explanation. Way to go girls.
Now, its obviously not a "true" cameo (the hair color is wrong on both of them), but still, an interesting "easter egg".
B.O.T. doesn't count, it's like the WORST Transformers episode OF ALL TIME AND FOREVER. Probably one of the worst episode of anything half decent EVER!

Oh there was MUCH worse than B.O.T. Carnage in C-Minor (a planet of singing aliens?) face of the nijika (i still dont know what exactly was going on in that episode), and a decepticon raider in king arthurs court (what should have been campy fun ended up boring). However, getting back to the original topic, i'm kind of surprised we didnt hear Jem music being played as background music on radios on joe or transformers or inhumanoids, though "cold slither" was played numerous times in transformers.
