I was hoping the title would be a subtle reference to Prime's real Japanese name, but that description points to the more literal definition.

My main issue with this episode is wondering why Folwer assumed he was shot down by decepticons. Honestly never thought it might be a human enemy? really dropping the ball there since it really limited the autobots from protecting themselves

And the kids... well they try which can be an important element; but ultimately they wound up doing nothing really.

I will be interested to see if the human enemy will actually be able to make themselves into an actual threat to the autobots.

I’m more confused by the fact that he was escorting that thing all by himself. What job, exactly, does Agent Fowler have? He never has backup, flies around in his own jet, and now he’s transporting advanced technology that terrorists could modify into a WMD. Even their secondary plan only managed to get a single guard to stand next to the device when inside of the train. It doesn’t really make much sense.

Well i assumed the reason he was operating alone was because he thought they were being targeted by Cons. No need to bring in military back up when you got autobots to take care of the enemies... the problem however they got blindsided by human enemies. The real issue being Why fowler did not even suspect that their might be any humans that would come after the device...

Though yes i did find the one soldier on the train to also be troubling... you'd think there would be a whole squad guarding the thing. you would think the military would allow a few dozen select soldiers in on the secret so that they could help provide any necessary action.

Does anyone else think that this episode is foreshadowing for some sorts of Pretenders or something like that?
We do have somewhat competent human villains with a great technology knowhow, the Decepticons themselves are also not too shabby, even although Starscream had terrible luck with his plans. The Autobots themselves are reluctant to hurt humans, and the Decepticons would do well to ally themselves with those fleshlings (of course, both sides will inevitably try to betray each another).

Then again, I do wonder if some of those "terrorists" did actually die when one of their cars combusted.

    Pretty good episode.
I liked the new human villains introduced in this episode. They seem a real threat (not to say the Decepticons aren't one), but it would be interesting to see how their next encounters will turn out.

You mean those Decepticons that get beat down by the Autobots in every single episode?

At this point I'm almost more interested in those human villains than I am in Starscream and his merry band.

This episode was only okay. It wasn't boring, it just wasn't my favorite episode. I didn't care for the villains, and the kids and Decepticons did nothing.

The change in scenery was nice. I was getting a bit tired of seeing nothing but desert.

I don't have any real strong opinions on this episode itself. The decepticons were put on the back burner in order to introduce some new human villains. It seems that this episode is mostly a setup episode for the human villains. Other than that, it didn't feel that much had really happened. On the other hand, the last piece of dialogue by the villains makes me wonder if we'll end up seeing some human created Transformers in the future. Depending on the way they do that, it should be interesting.

On the other hand, Prime's voice has been bothering me for quite a while now, and I think I know the reason why. He just seems so emotionless. I'm trying to remember the last time Prime has showed any real emotion, and I'm having trouble thinking of anything. While I never cared for Optimus Prime in the first place, I really could care less about this incarnation of him. Hopefully, he gets some character development or something soon.

I think the reason why he was transporting that device by himself, and why there was only one guard on the train, is because that;s all the budget for this series would allow.

Agreed, but at least the new scenery in this episode was nice to look at. Other than Agent Fowler's favorite shirt and tie and that single soldier on the train, this certainly didn't feel like a cheaply animated episode.

Another meh episode. It's a nice versatile change with the villains being humans, but you must forgive me if I can't tell you what sort of personality Silas has. He's got the cool and calm manner, but the black leather, the scar on his bald head, the lack of motivation behind his goals, the man screams generic villain. If he ever makes another appearance (which it sounds like he will), I can only hope he'll possess something to make him credible beyond his blandness.

Otherwise, it actually is a straightforward, well-paced episode. However, while it delivers on story, the characters still need serious work. They don't necessary have to focus on anybody, really, but character tics and quips really go a long way to make the series interesting. I focus primary on interesting characters over story. No matter how epic their journey may be, if the cast doesn't entice me, than what's the point? Ratchet gets in a few lines (he's currently my favorite Autobot in Prime) and Fowler interesting divides between comedic butt monkey to serious business (unfortunately, not as well-balanced as I would have liked - it almost comes off as bipolar), but they're very limited. The rest just all move along to the plot without fault.

Also, the kids. I'm still very mixed on them. I like that the writers tried to get them involved so they have a useful purpose outside of target audience surrogates, but the moment they get on the train, their accomplishments fails and they end up having to be rescued, reducing their efforts to "useless" back again. Well, except Raf who definitely showed his useful hacking skills. I like Raf, wish we could see more of him.

Also, Starscream, I think you're awesome, but there really, really was no need for the Decepticons. There could have been another way for Silas to witness giant, alien robots than pointlessly sending out Eradicons who do nothing but fight for three of the 22 minutes of the show.

All in all, its story works from getting from Point A to Point B, but it lacks oomph and it's just an all around average offering.
