This is the talkback thread for Toonzone Interviews Jeff Kline on "Transformers Prime" and "G.I. Joe Renegades".



Unfortunately, my questions about G.I. Joe Renegades' episode order and whether Ripcord is really dead weren't answered, but comments made elsewhere make me think the latter is all but confirmed.

I don't like what I'm reading...

So, Transformers Prime and G.I. Joe Renegades were crafted by fans, for fans. Of course, there is no way we could ever make everyone in the fanbase happy, and to try would be an enormous mistake. With every show I've ever worked on, the goal has been to entertain ourselves, and assume that there will be enough like-minded viewers out there.

We've already asked for the impossible from Polygon in Tokyo (our partner studio on Transformers Prime); the least we can offer them is a reasonably current road map.

All I will say is that we strive to have both series "build" from episode-to-episode.

Makes me even more dissapointed and upset about Prime. I really hope this series failes hard. It's the worst Transformers show so far that has come out. And don't give me the "you've seen just a few episodes" look. Shame. Maybe next time someone will figure it out.

Prime the worst Transformers show ever? You've obviously never seen Armada.

EDIT: Though seriously, it heartens me to see there's some overlap between the creative teams of Renegades and Prime. Hopefully some of the former show's awesomeness will rub off on the later.
