I have been hearing about this show all year thanks to The Hub's crazy marketing for this show, hopefully it lives up the hype. If this show and G.I. Joe Renegade bombs, they only have Dan vs. to save them!
I’ve never actually watched any incarnation of G.I. Joe or Transformers, at least not regularly. However, it is evident that The Hub is hoping that these two will be their flagship animated programs. Whether or not the fandom will accept and enjoy them remains to be seen. Hopefully these threads will finally bring in the amount of discussion that I hoped for when this forum was created.
Today @ 4:00 PM ET on The Hub
The Autobots go on alert as the Decepticons return to Earth in the series opener. Meanwhile, a group of humans find themselves with new caretakers after stumbling into the middle of the Autobots.

besides the killing of cliffjumper in the beginning (sniffs) this series so far is hitting on a lot of good levels. The humans aren't nearly as annoying and are quite relatable. Geez japan, take a page from this book because it would be a much better series
It seems to be alright so far. Although, I'm not sure about Arcee's "scrap". On the one hand, that sounds like something you might hear in the movies ("scrap" is kind of a pun, you see). On the other hand, something similar could probably happen in other action-adventure shows, so I'll let that go, at least for now.
Cartoons aren't "just for kids"...but they're not just for adults either. They're for everyone.
I liked this a lot. Probably the best version of The Transformers since G1. BTW, I hated the Bay movies.
Okay, this is my favorite Transformers show yet. (For those wondering, I haven't yet watched Unicron Trilogy, Animated, or Beast Wars).
This is just a better show than G1, except for those blinded by nostalgia. The animation, writing, action, and voice acting is better than G1, and the beginning was much more epic.
Random quote (changes once in a while)
"I have sacrificed much to achieve peace. So too must a new generation sacrifice to maintain that peace. Responsibility! Duty! Honour! These are not mere virtues to which we must aspire! They are essential to every soldier, to every king!"
- Odin, Thor
G1 is actually one of the worst Transformers series, so saying it's better than that isn't saying much at all. G1 was a show created with the sole itention of selling toys (every Transformers series is, it's just they're a bit better with it), and had a rotating staff which gave the show a very disjointed feeling compared to Beast Wars, Cybertron, and Animated which had a core team of writers throughout.

Eh, I thought it was okay. Between this and GI Joe Renegades I found myself preferring Renegades though I was more hyped for this show. I believe one of the main reasons that this show didn't really jive with me was because of how empty the environment was. The town felt like a ghost town, and it was pretty freaky. Though, I'm pretty sure the cost of the animation probably had something to do with everything being kind of empty looking. There's also the fact that these first two episodes felt kind of exposition heavy instead of getting straight to the action. I'm pretty sure I'll get more into the series when all the introductory stuff is out of the way.
Also, I wished that they didn't kill off Cliffjumper so quickly. (This is assuming his death is permanent.) I'd rather that they spent some time letting us to get to know Cliffjumper some more before they killed him off. Perhaps, have him appear throughout the miniseries then kill him off?
Right now, I think I need to see more of the series before I make any premature judgments.
I'm going to have to agree with you on that. It is better than G1. As a matter of fact, in my opinion, Transformers Prime is the best executed version of The Transformers to date.
I don't know about everyone else, but The Hub was experiencing a slight audio lag in my area.
Vegas...now??
Since I was out shopping, I need to ask when the rerun is showing. Anyone?

Anyone else feeling that Cullen's Prime doesn't really match this Prime's look? His voice is so commanding that this series model just doesn't look right.

This was pretty good. I like the mix of chartacters, including the humans.
It's nice to see they're using Bulkhead in this. I figured we wouldn't see him again after Transformers: Animated.
Saturday Morning is not just part of the week. It's a state of mind.
Transformers Prime is a great show :anime:
I was surprised that they got The Rock to play Cliffjumper
Steve Blum is a great Starscream :anime:
