It's a really strong premiere. I was bummed Animated ended so soon and nothing I was hearing made me feel I'd like this. But when you see it in action, it really draws you in. As the review says, this is what the movies should have been. There's a perfect balance between the bots and humans, actual plot and character development and action that isn't mindless. The fact that this is what Hasbro themselves pushed for to be the latest TV incarnation only goes to prove those who say the movies have to be that way wrong.
The show looks pretty good from the images. I had no idea Duane Capizzi and Jeff Kline were involved with this. When does this come on The Hub, by the way? Has it already aired the first episodes?
More harm has been done by people panicked over societal decline than societal decline ever did.

Well, that's a relief. It's good to see that we may have a third excellent Transformers Series to stand alongside Beast Wars and Animated - I was worried that this show would send us right back to square one in terms of quality. I'll have to watch the premier once it finds its way online.
One question though: for the few who have seen it, are the human characters integrated well into the plot? Because while it's nice to hear they aren't annoying, I don't want them to take a large chunk of the spotlight if they aren't contributing somenthing to the Autobot/Decepticon war.
R.I.P. Batman: The Brave and the Bold - November 14, 2008 to November 18, 2011. May Beware The Batman strive to be even half as entertaining.
G1 is the only Transformers show I've cared for so far, but I'll give this show a shot.

I admit I'm still in my Transformers Animated kick (but that's because I was Johnny Latecomer to the show) and I'm mostly in the neutral/mixed feel for Prime, but I do plan to give this show a shot. This review eases my concern down a notch, so here's hoping.

At 2 episodes in, they're currently integrated about as well as can be expected. The opening is a five part story and the video I linked further implies some initial growth for them will be covered in the next 3 episodes at the very least. I will admit the way Jack becomes involved is a bit contrived (it's essentially a 'wrong time, wrong place' setup) and some of his concerns are a bit immature but there's a real sense of untapped maturity there. Miko seems to be viewing the thing as one big adventure and although she's keen to get involved, it's Jack who's the first to realise that this is a very brutal war and that the Autobots have lost untold friends to it. The kids are basically there at this point because they've discovered them and by proxy are mistakenly assumed to be allies by the Cons.
I have been a fan of the old school Transformers, and some of the other CGI Transformer shows. Prime looks like a bridge between the original cartoon series and the two movies that exist. There are some things that will be interesting to see resolved, and if this series is as good as the premier episodes were, we might just have a winner here.

Mr. White explains perfectly one of the big reasons that I haven't enjoyed the two live Transformers movies:
"Prime allows the writers to tell the Transformers story they would if it didn't have to be paired with the controversial Michael Bay style of directing. For example, it's often said that the movies focus on the humans to the point of making the actual Transformers feel like million-dollar-a-minute extras. "
But if this show will be focused on the Transformers first, and not the humans, I'll definitely give this show a chance.
That is exactly the main reason why I like Transformers Prime and greatly dislike the Michael Bay movies.
Also, I like the designs a lot better in Prime since they are more recognizable and distinct from each other, while still looking like realistic and functional machines without all the messy overrendered mechanical elements that made the movie versions a bit of an eyesore.
I can't believe Roberto Orci just said:
"Save that for the movies. This actually has to be good."
I get it was being comedic but I mean . . . that was sort of on the nose there.
Then again, Orci and Kurtzman pretty much through Bay under the bus when the second movie came out and separated themselves a great deal to certain parts of the movie like Car Car Binks.
