It stinks that this show is on at 12:30am (eastern standard time of course). I really should not mind though because I'm up alot late at night as it is. Still it is great to see it on tv again.
Hahahahahahaha, wahohohohohohohohohohohoho....hahahahaha..ha........
Those who saw Robot Chicken's version of the Weather Dominator arc without having seen the actual episodes are in for a heck of a treat.

Hmm, I never noticed this forum before. The look is very feminine!
Bite your tongue. Baroness looked tres chic in her green tinted glasses! It's really strange how in the first five part mini-series, cover girl was absolutely georgous. On the other hand, the Baroness looked ridiculous. After the first five part mini-series, the Baroness became the one who looked great, and Cover Girl was the one who didn't look as good. What did parents complain that Cover Girl was too hot, so they made up for it by making the Baroness hotter?
Speak for yourself. Can't say that teenaged me cared a whit how Cover Girl OR the Baroness looked in that first mini-series vs. the second, other than that they were there. The only thing that kind of confused me was why Cover Girl went from blonde to brunette (not that I really cared).
Besides, Cover Girl got to rock a tuxedo in the regular series at the premiere of their big movie, and if you're going to say she didn't look good in it, I think we're going to have to fight.

*DVR ALERT*
If you set up G.I. Joe to a series recording make sure you check Tuesday 19th. I was checking and it is showing up as G.I Joe II, since it showed that way it was not scheduled to record. Not sure why it has a roman numeral II on it.
Here is the details.
"In the Cobra's Pit", A series following the adventures of the G.I. Joe squad as they battle the Cobra Commander. In the opener, Cobra steals a weapon that has the power to control the forces of nature.
So I recorded this one episode where Cobra is firing a space-based weapon powered by three minerals and Duke manages to get captured. Man, Scarlett was pretty much the token in the early going wasn't she? They totally ship her and Duke, too.
Baroness was disguised as a frugal official typically reluctant to give the military and the Joes the awesome equipment that they want to have. No message hidden in there, no sir!Incidentally, just how long was she in disguise to get into such an important position? Perhaps it's best not to think on it too much....
The narrator says Cobra wants to rule the world. Cobra Commander gloats that this evil plan is the first step to ruling the universe. Just saying.
I would suggest that it's not the medium, but the quality of perception and expression, that determines the significance of art. But what would a cartoonist know? -Bill Watterson
At that point, it wasn't an *offical* series yet, just a sequel to the M.A.S.S. Device, hence the II. The second mini-series (The Revenge of Cobra) was just meant to be a follow up. I don't think the decision to make a full on series came until after the second mini was a success.

Spoiler:
Heh. This could probably describe any one of the first three mini-series.
Scarlett gets to do a bit more stuff later in "The MASS Device," but she does seem to get captured a whole lot. Even so, I don't think she's any more of a token than most of the other Joes on the team in these early episodes. Characters like Breaker, Clutch, or even Stalker don't get to do much more than she does. You just notice it more because she's usually the only female on screen. I think it's more a problem with the very large ensemble cast than with how they played the character.Man, Scarlett was pretty much the token in the early going wasn't she? They totally ship her and Duke, too.
Of course, in "The Revenge of Cobra" (or "The Weather Dominator"), she seems to be next in the chain of command after Duke and Flint get captured/go MIA in the opening minutes, and then we never see her again. Typical -- someone gets a promotion to management and then they vanish into thin air.
(Supposedly, the real reason why she was almost cut entirely from the series afterwards was toy-related. I've heard that Scarlett wasn't selling well or Hasbro made too many Lady Jaye figures, but either way, Lady Jaye becomes the most prominent female Joe after "The MASS Device" mini-series.)
Duke/Scarlett is one of the things that I think the show gets so totally wrong, too (she should be with Snake Eyes, IMO), but yes they ship those two a lot. The only more overt couple is Flint and Lady Jaye (which is why I'm left with a sour taste in my mouth at the idea of the Flint/Duke/Jaye love triangle hinted at in the upcoming Renegades series).
They did this trick enough during the series run that I have to think it became an in-joke amongst the staff. If I ever work up the energy to do a fan site as dedicated to G.I. Joe as Maxie Zeus did for BTAS, there's totally going to be a page there called "The Many Faces of the Baroness." Considering Zartan is the master of disguise, the Baroness ended up ripping off a whole lot of rubber masks during the series run.Baroness was disguised as a frugal official typically reluctant to give the military and the Joes the awesome equipment that they want to have. No message hidden in there, no sir!Incidentally, just how long was she in disguise to get into such an important position? Perhaps it's best not to think on it too much....

I'd always wondered why Lady Jaye and Flint got more screentime than any other Joe during the show's run, while we go several episodes at a time without seeing Duke, Snake Eyes, and Scarlett.

I wonder if they will show the "other" gi joes the one made by sunbow I think it was with general hawk and his jet pack?
Resurrecting this thread to point out this parody video on FunnyOrDie.com, "The Ballad of G.I. Joe" that covers what the Joes and Cobras do in their downtime. I'm most impressed at the all-star cast they managed to land for it -- this may be the only time you'll see the likes of Julianne Moore as Scarlett or Billy Crudup as Zartan.

I mentioned in the Transformers thread that that the Hub doesn't seem to be airing the later episodes of that series. Has the Hub been airing the final season of this show? It seems like if I ever look to see what episode is airing, it's one of the first 65 episodes as well.
