    Question about Hub

    Like This Thread!
I'm a user of DirectTV and for a while now Discovery Kids was free. About 2 months ago it became exclusive and I couldn't watch Kenny The Shark anymore.

When Discovery Kids morphs into Hub tomorrow will it become free or still remain exclusive? Fiddlesticks..

It'll still remain on the exclusive tier. Let's put it this way:

If you can't see Discovery Kids today, you can't see The Hub tomorrow.
What does the X stand for? It's definitely not Extreme. Extreme starts with E.

I'll clarify further since I have DirecTV.

As of this moment, The Hub is listed as a part of the Chice Xtra tier, the package directly above the basic Choice package. The channel, while broadcast in High-Definition, is not in HD on DirecTV as of this post but will eventually.

In terms of the kid networks on DTV, Boomerang, The Hub, Nicktoons, and PBS Kids Sprout - along with premium service Baby First TV and the family networks HBO and Starz/Encore provide in their respective packages - are the only ones not a part of the basic package. Outside of the premium stuff, the rest mentioned are on the Choice Xtra tier.

Yeah, it's the same as what Jeff said, but in DirecTV terminology.
