The Hub Websites Discussion Thread

www.hubworld.com launched today and www.hubbub.com will launch in the near future. This thread will serve as a general discussion thread for all subjects relating to the website, whether you’re just commenting on what you like or dislike about them, talking about a game you played on them, or commenting on various other things that pertain to the website. Discussion about video content on the website is also allowed in this thread, but separate talkback threads may be created in some instances.

According to an article that The Hub linked to on twitter, the website will get schedules posted on the website on October 4th. I would expect them to gradually get more content on the pages as well. I looked at the source codes and they plan to add episode guides to many of the individual show pages.

When the website first launched, I recall seeing a show page for a Littlest Pet Shop cartoon. It has since been removed. I wonder why they did that. Wikipedia has what little information was on the page back when it was up, but I don't believe the series was even officially announced unless I missed something. Still, it's unusual for them to put a page up and then take it down. Did anybody else see it?

The Hub is having a little vote to determine what they will air on Christmas. Currently, thanks in part to a certain board with an oddly dedicated My Little Pony fan base, My Little Pony: Friendship Is Magic is winning both categories. I voted for the series as well, though I also cast a vote for Pound Puppies.

HUB is having a "Naughty or Nice" marathon this Saturday, in honor of Christmas. You can cast votes at http://hubworld.com for the characters you think are naughty and nice, and you also get to rate how naughty/nice they are.

I voted for Night Mare Moon (7=Wickedly Naughty) and Twilight Sparkle (10) from My Little Pony.

If you've been on that site, who did you vote naughty and nice, and on what scale?

Megatron was voted most naughty. Fluttershy was voted most nice. It looked, for a time, that Nightmare Moon was going to be voted most naughty, but I guess that pushed faltered towards the end.

I love that they let you play both Monopoly and Battleship on their website. I've only won at Battleship so far but I'm getting pretty close with Monopoly so it's all good so far. Outside of those two things though, I haven't really explored the website so I may get to that in the near future. If I ever win at Monopoly first though.

I haven't played any of the games, mainly because I wanted to wait until I could register and earn badges before I tried them out. However, despite the fact that the website launched in late September, you still can't register. The Hub seriously dropped the ball on this. They should have had that ready to go day one, but it is what it is.

Well, they're finally letting people register. Better late than never, I suppose. Doesn't seem to provide much at the moment, but it gives you an incentive to play games because you can get "club bucks" and buy stuff for your profile. I'm probably not going to mess with it, at all, but it might help The Hub get more traffic on its website.
