The Fantasy Schedule & Fantasy Acquisition Thread

    Like This Thread!
As I said in the introduction thread, people are allowed to post their fantasy schedules for The Hub in this forum as long as they do so in this thread. However, people should keep the following things in mind when posting their fantasy schedules.

    • 1) You should explain the reasoning behind your fantasy schedules.
    • 2) You shouldn’t post multiple fantasy schedules frequently; make use of the edit button and do not make consecutive posts.
    • 3) You shouldn’t expect everybody to comment on your fantasy schedules.
This is also the thread where people should post their fantasy acquisitions. If there is an animated program that you believe The Hub should acquire, whether they have a realistic chance of acquiring that animated program or not, you should post your belief here and then explain why you believe it would be a good fit for the network.

Please follow these guidelines and do not post fantasy schedules or fantasy acquisitions anywhere else in Huburbia.

You know what the funny thing about The Hub is?

At this rate, the sky's the limit. Have you guys actually seen what's coming to the channel?

Transformers. G.I. Joe. My Little Pony. Fraggle Rock.

Happy Days. Laverne & Shirley. The Wonder Years. Doogie Howser MD.

The 1960s Batman. Batman Beyond. Men in Black. Atomic Betty.

The 99. Twisted Whiskers. Deltora Quest.

Kenny the Shark. Tutenstein. Endurance. Meercat Manor.

The template is still in the warm liquid goo phase, so, the timing is perfect to start thinking what's next. Who knows? Maybe some will end up there.

So, what do you want them to pick up?
What does the X stand for? It's definitely not Extreme. Extreme starts with E.

Code Lyoko: I think Code Lyoko could fit on The Hub. Twisted Whiskers is already on The Hub, which Moonscoop is working with.

Batman: TAS: With Batman Beyond coming to The Hub, Batman: TAS would make a great home on The Hub. If B:TAS came to The Hub, hopefully they'll treat it right unlike Disney XD.

Unnatural History: If Cartoon Network doesn't pick up another season of UH then maybe the show can air on a appropriate channel like The Hub. It fits well with other LA material on the channel such as R.L Stein's The Haunting Hour. Think about it, the mystery solving in the show pairs up with The Haunting Hour easily.

One Piece: I think it would be alright on The Hub. Sure, there will be edits but we can live with them.

Atomic Betty Redux: Atomic Betty is already set to air on The Hub but if AB does well(I'm sure it will) then maybe they can pick up the sequel series.

With Batman: TAS and Superman: TAS seemingly expiring from Disney XD is October, it would be nice for The Hub to acquire them.

On the sitcom front, The Brady Bunch currently doesn’t have a cable home. Nothing says family comedy like the Brady’s!

^ I personally feel that if CL were to by some chance return to American television, it'd likely be Nicktoons, though Hub is certainly a possibility.

    A few ideas I've had:

-The Simpsons. Ideally, I think this would be SPLENDID for Nick@Nite, but if they get this, they'll be sure to do good. They'd just have to not air more risque episodes and air it in primetime.

-Are You Smarter Than a 5th Grader?. With all the other game shows, airing reruns of the 1-hour version would be nice. I'd say Cash Cab since it's from Discovery Channel, but it doesn't strike me as being one kids would be interested in.

-Ozzy & Drix. I'm unaware of wether or not CN still has this, but since I doubt they do, I think this'd be awesome for The Hub.

-One Piece. Pretty sure there'd be content editing, but doubtfully as much as 4kids. Wouldn't surprise me for them to get the last "big" anime series that can be marketed to kids that's available.

-Tara Duncan. It apparently premiered the other day in France, and it seems an English dub is likely underway, meaning a TV deal is imminent. This'd be one of the best options for them, since CN would inevitably deathslot it.

Nicktoons could be a possibility but I have my hands on The Hub as of right now. Nicktoons and The Hub currently have Moonscoop shows, Zevo-3 and Twisted Whiskers, I get what you are saying.

    Animation:

Dinosaurs: While not a cartoon, but still not live action, this show is
    all-around entertaining.

Corniel and Bernie: A nice little slapstick cartoon to fill airspace in the dead of night.

Gumby: Great show. Lots of episodes.

    Archie: Entertaining.

    Live Action:

3rd Rock From The Sun: A very funny and some-what approriate show. Kids wouldn't even get most of the "sexual" jokes, while parents would

Three's Company: A entertaining show, and once again parents would "get it" while kids would not, but still be entertained.

King Of Queens: A funny show and like I said above...

Here are some more live-action shows they could put on, for the same reasons above: Wings, The Jeffersons, All In The Family, Home Improvement.

    More later.

Love that show. I remember watching it on Nicktoons a couple years back. I agree though, Corneil and Bernie could be on The Hub someday and hopefully The Hub can treat it right unlike Nicktoons.

Here are seven cartoons I'd really like to see on The Hub:

Darkwing Duck - The terror that flaps in the night may be an unlikely choice for a brand new network, but DW combines action, comedy, and family fun in each and every episodes, and isn't that what The Hub is all about?

    The Secret Saturdays
    - Cartoon Network screwed this show big time, and I feel that it would be a perfect compliment with shows like Cosmic Quantum Ray, The 99, and Tutenstein (hey, they even share the same creator).

    Jacob Two-Two -
Probably one of the best animated series you've never heard of. It's buried on qubo and deserves a bigger audience than it's getting. Great stories combined with great characters makes Jacob Two-Two a jewel lost in the mire that is qubo. The Hub would put it alongside their comedies with ease.

    Looney Tunes
    - They're not on television at all, which is past shameful. While it's not an acquisition one would normally make for a brand new network (then again, they picked up a LOT of classics for their launch), it's probably the most valuable brand that should be out there in the public, not just on digital media formats like DVDs and streaming video.

    Ruby Gloom
    - Take the bright side of the dark side. It confounds me that after all these years, a great show like Ruby Gloom never aired in the US. If The Hub paired it up with Strawberry Shortcake, My Little Pony, and Atomic Betty, you have a quartet of strong girl-friendly animation, which is quite a rarity on American cable.

Pepper Ann - Before he rocked the world of Cartoon Network with Codename: Kids Next Door, he designed the characters of this coming of age comedy about an imaginative redhead girl and her attempts to fit in this weird world. It'd be a great pick up and, again, strong on female characters.

Recess - I love this show. Kids being kids. Not special agents. Not snarky stars. Not superheroes. No strange, otherworldly sidekicks and imaginary friends. Just kids. Definitely not formulaic with a different activity stuck in the same plot episode to episode. Plus, there's this sense of innocence and fun on this show that's missing in today's cartoons. The fact that it's rarely seen on television is kind of strange to me. Plus, it doesn't hurt that the showrunners behind Pound Puppies created this show too.

I've noticed three of my choices are from Disney. Well, they're not showing them nor in any rush to put them all on DVD, are they?
What does the X stand for? It's definitely not Extreme. Extreme starts with E.

Batman: I suppose it's useless to tell you to leave.
Superman: I wouldn't miss this for anything.
    Batman: Your funeral.
    Superman: Already had one.

I don't know. Plus, repeats and new episodes are on CMT right now, and I doubt they'd want the same show airing on two different networks.

    Animation:

Samurai Pizza Cats... I really want it to air somewhere again and I think this would be a good place for it to.

    Live Action:

I would like them to get a hold of the old TGIF shows and possibly air them together again. Though Nick At Nite has Family Matters (it seems to be nearing it's end there, though) and ABC Family has Full House, they might be able to get the other past TGIF shows not currently being aired anywhere.

Jeff was right, there really is a lot of potential here, so here's hoping it is able to reach it.

All in the Family's on TV Land, The Jefferson's on TV One I believe, Home Improvement's on TBS and TV Land (probably Nick@Nite too), King of Queens is on TBS. Wings is on USA infrequently. Considering they're a family channel, I don't see them putting All in the Family, Three's Company, and The Jeffersons on The Hub. And as long as King of Queens and Home Improvement are on their established cable homes, I don't see them going there either. The only one I could seriously see on The Hub is 3rd Rock From the Sun, but that's because it's more migratory than other shows.

CMT airs the half-hour version, I'm referring to the 1-hour version that hasn't seen the light of day since Fox Reality died.

Ah, but again, I don't see The Hub picking up that version of the show or any version as long as CMT has the show. A better bet would be GSN.

Cool Fox Kids series in The Hub, anyone?

I thought fantasy schedules were banned at ToonZone , they always lock those types of threads in other forums. It's glad to see that they're allowed again only on Huburbia.

How about some old Fox Kids shows like these two on The Hub?

Eek the Cat- An awesome Garfield clone/SpongeBob precursor before the sponge appeared. Eek the Cat/Eekstravaganza is full of variety, comedy, and even action. Eek strongly needs a new home, so why not put him on The Hub?

Goosebumps- I noticed that The Haunting Hour TV Series was airing on The Hub (I think), so why not air this awesome show based on R.L. Stine's hit novel series? It'd go perfectly with The Haunting Hour.

If One Piece (or SGT Frog for that matter) ever air anywhere on American TV, it'd be on The Hub, since they seem like the only animation-centric channel currently that won't pass shows over for being "too old".

In addition to the afformentioned Looney Tunes and Batman:TAS, all the Tom Ruegger shows from the '90s would be very welcome back on TV. They'd be the perfect bridge between the daytime kids programming and the nighttime retro family programming.

    Animation

Comic Strip - This would fit with an early weekend morning fit due to small amount of episodes.

Draq Pack - With people so in to Vampires right now this can be used to feed that demographic.

Pac-Man - This has been on XBOX live for a while now so it would be nice to get picked up. This could be a start of a video game block that would then feed in to the new game night series.

Rubiks, Donkey Kong, Mario Bros, and Capt N - This could fall in to that video game block.

Raggedy Ann & Andy (80's series), Rainbow Bright, This Punky Brewster- This could fit in to the area with strawberry shortcake.

Alf & Alf Tales - This would be a way to bring the live action show on as well.

Camp Candy & Life with Louie - this could be a block of shows based on real people. I hate to say it but might have to add Rosie as well.

    Live Action

ALF - As stated in the animation section this would fit a family channel due to the type of show.

Mr. Belvedere - This was a great show in the 80's with a large following and thanks to shot it is getting released still on DVD.
