I prefer the WF News Page, bring it back!
I don't care.
I like the News Board.

Niego - It ain't so bad.
I like the news board, I never used to visit the news page. I think that the headlines describe the news stories well, I have no trouble telling which stories to look at and which to ignore.
Well, personally I like the old newspage that kept WF news seperate from other toonzone news. However, let's keep in mind that DickGrayson is gonna be very busy the next few months. I can relate because I'm fixing to run into a hectic schedule myself. I can see where posting news on a board like system is easier than having to keep arrowing down and maintain a page full of news.
First off, the WF News Page ain't comin' back. It's going to be too difficult to maintain and the smart choice was to ally up with Toonzone to create Toonzone News. There I get to stprea dmy wings a bit and report on more news. There are going to be alot of time likely this year where I won't be online to catch all the scoops and stuff and having a great crew at TZN will help that out a bit. TZN is gonna become the resource for this kinda news, and I'm glad to be apart of it.
And as for the layout - how can it be confusing? The headlines are easy to read. If you're still confused by the headlines we have icons to help tell what kind of news it is (movie, tv, kwb, cn, etc...). Plus we have it in board format which makes scrolling down easy.
There are changes coming. The layout may be tweaked a bit to resemble comingsoon.net and the new shorter http://news.toonzone.net URL will be in place in a couple days.
The WF News Page ain't coming back but that doesn't mean the quality is gone. It's still the same WF Newscrew at the TZN - but with some help.

I guess i just like the old format better. Though, i will admit there's nothing wrong w/ the new one, it'll just take some time to get used to. So, i guess it's okay as long as there's WF news.
I understand DG. It's gonna be a real busy year.
Folks let's keep in mind that DickGrayson doesn't have to do this. He has literally taken time out of his schedule over the past three years to update news, post, and maintain the boards. It hasn't been easy either. He's had to deal with many incidents which at times almost threatend WF's future. Yet still through all that he's remained dedicated to keeping this site alive. Go on the internet and try to find any sites more dedicated to BTAS, STAS, BB, and JL than this one. I guarantee you, you won't find any. I think we should be thanking the staff of WF for creating and yet still maintaing the only Animated Batman/Superman site that didn't close down or get abandoned in it's first six months. I'm not yelling, I'm just saying maybe we outta show at bit more respect. I apologize for anything that I've ever said or done that was wrong.
Long Live World's Finest!,
I can't speak for anyone else, but i know that my vote was meant as a compliment, and that i just loved having the WF Headlines. I understand that circumstances lead to the combining of the TZN and WFH, and i have no problem w/ that. I'll get used to it. I mean, i've never seen a change take place here that hasn't been for the better.
I like the new news board. You can get all your news from one source without having to go around the web viewing a lot of different pages.
I'm moving this to the Ani/Gen board.......it's a little off topic here.
personally i liked the worlds finest new better but like silentbob said, as long as the news comes froms some where

I prefer the news page. I think it's awesome, tho if I would change one thing about it, it would be that the regular posters would be permitted to reply to the threads and discuss the news stories. There are other sites that allow for discussion of the news subjects and I think its fun. Now, I don't want to see it open for anybody to post threads on there, but it would be nice to discuss the news on there in replies only. But as of now, I do like it quite well.
Well, there's nothing wrong with cutting and pasting the story (or just posting about the story) in the appropriate forum and opening it up for discussion.Originally posted by calhoun07

You'll grow to like the Newsboard. Changes are coming to the place that will really make it look nice and much better than just a board. Plus, the board is for posting news only, and we got tonnes of news topics. There. I can't see how anyone can lose with all that!

Yeah, I know it's for posting news only. I was just suggesting having the ability for other posters to discuss the news stories, but I suppose if we really want to, we can carry the news topics over to the main boards.
I remember when I made the first change (from searth.net to toonzone.net) everyone was complaining about it, and how they missed the old look and everything. It's the same here as well. It all takes a period of adjustment to get used to it. I like the newsboard becuase it's right here at the forums and is very easy to find - and will be easier when the new URL kicks in.Originally posted by joker

I will say the highlight of the Newspage/board for me was when we got 52, 000 hits in one day. That was just a definite highlight for me. Since then it's been great. Alot of the audience has stayed and added this newspage to their bookmarks and are regularly checking back.
I don't regret the move or anything - it's all uphill from here.

I am a major newbie, as I never saw the WF news page, but I think this one serves the whole Toon Zone forum well. As others have said, you can pick what you'd like to read; I would then suspect the old board loaded every news bit; story and all, on the same page....musta been slow to load...![]()
Signature. A noun. It is, in internet terms, a series of words, phrases, and pictures at the end of every post used to make posts more fun to look at and show the user's uniqueness.
....I wish I had a decent one.
I gotta hand it to you, for a major newbie, that is a major number of posts! You must occupy the board 24-7...Originally posted by BourgeoisBuffoon

The news page loaded pretty quickly, actually. Well, it loaded fast for a pafge with at least 12 stories on it at all times. The newsboard loads at a fraction of the time.Originally posted by BourgeoisBuffoon
