What happened to the boards???

Why was forums.toonzone.net down for over a month? Am I the only one who got a "404 not found" for the last 6 weeks??

I'm not a toonzone person, just a World's Finest person, so I wouldn't know about the glitches and problems the server has (unless I'm informed), since I'm not a webmaster. But for a while there was a problem with the site accepting visitors using DSL. And aside from that there was a bit of an FTP problem with the higher ups that had to be fixed.

Those items could possibly be a part of posters' visiting problems. But otherwise, sorry, I tried to give all that I know of it, but sadly that's not much.

And that's basically it. And the server was blocking nonDSL users at random as well. I can't explain it but it had something to do with server problems/upgrades. But a new server is coming and everything is working good -- finally! -- for now!

Everything should be good now, and it seems it. Alot of people are finding their way back here, which is a very good thing.

You know, I can't get on the boards at work AGAIN. I wonder if some of our regulars who haven't been posting haven't been able to because of these problems, not because of their free choice?

Well, for now we're not going anywhere, and I believe the old TZ boards are clearly marked, so I doubt glitches like that would stop some regulars from coming cold turkey. They won't stop there, I bet.

well, more than likely, some have stopped posting for other reasons, but in the past month or so, it wasn't the poster's choice in more than many situations. And there are those who complained that not even their emails could get thru.

I had a problem getting onto the boards for a couple of weeks - I was tempted on removing my fav link - then suddenly I'm back and have been so for a week. Considering how little the threads had progressed, I assume there was more than a few that had the same problem....

I think more and more people are finally getting their way back. The boards seem to be lighting up again and conversations seem to be more and more rampant and enjoyable. I just hope this keeps up at a good pace.
