So, since I've been back (and checking in on a different computer) I've noticed something funky happening with the envelopes next to the thread titles-- You know, how they turn colors when there's a new post in the thread? Well, threads that I've read suddenly turn back on again, as though there's a new post in them when there isn't. This is more of an annoyance than a problem, but I'm wondering: Is it just happening to me, or to other people too?

Ok, I originally read Maxie's post wrong.....
YES, I do notice that sometimes the envelopes change back to yellow when there have been no new threads added. And yeah, I do find it kinda annoying, too, as I then go to the thread to see what's new, but I am the last poster on it. So I don't know what's happening. I have my cookies turned ON.

That's happened to me too, Maxie. I will have to pay attention and see if the problem perists when I use other computers. I think it remains whether I use my own or ones at work, but I'll try to keep an eye open for that from now on.
Usually, it happens when I reload the page after going through the board from bottom to top. I reload to see if anyone has replied since I started looking at posts, and there will be a couple of grey envelopes at the top and below that, some colored ones which I have already looked at and have not been replied to (or else they would be at the top of the list). I agree, it isn't a big problem because you can usually figure out where you left off pretty quickly, but it is definitely annoying.
I definitely like the feature of colored envelopes and dots when they work right, though. Very useful and nice.
Those of you with this problem... are you browsing the board with cookies turned on or off? There's a setting in the user control panel about cookies, and perhaps changing it will solve the problem.

YES! I haven't been able to get into BruceTimm.com either, and everyone I've asked has had trouble getting in too.
