How do I get an avatar up, I tried loading one from my computer but it didnt work, could anyone help with this?

Remember, avatars have to be 75 x 75 pixels {or 10240 bytes}, and they have to be JPG or GIF format. If you need help, there are a couple of members you can ask. Unfortunately, I don't know which ones they are, and you can tell I'm not one by the condition of my avatar.

It would help if you would be a bit more specific. What was the precise error message?

That reminds me---I really need to change my dsiturbingly bad avatar. Must... stop... unexusable laziness...

Well I tried downloading an image off my computer, not from an internet address, it was bigger then 75x75 so after I put the address I added height=75 width=75 (you can do that on ezboards, so I figured it could work here too). After I saved the avatar it wouldnt come up and when I brought the option page up it didnt have the address or anything up there, like it was reset.

Ya know, I got the picture from this site (although I did crop it alot), is there some way any of the mods can put it up?

As far as I can see, this forum doesn't feature the height/width adjustments, as EzBoard does. Try modifying the images manually; any image program should work. (Even Microsoft Paint.)

Hope that kind of helps, as poor of an explanation as it may be.

May I suggest a easy-to-use program called PicPerk? It's free, which may be a better benefit than the program itself..

basically, you can crop and resize--the 2 main essential things in avatar making.
