    Like This Thread!
Mean Gene Okerlund hosts Confidential #61 on Spike TV at 11 p.m. ET. Tune in to see how Scotty 2 Hotty has been doing and see Shawn Michaels pre-HBK!

Confidential preview for Nov. 15, 2003

This week, Confidential gears you up for Survivor Series with a look back at the history of this great event, including all of the high-profile debuts over the years and the unveiling of the Elimination Chamber that took place just a year ago. Less than 24 hours before Survivor Series, Confidential is there with some of the classic moments from this historic event.

Also, Confidential sits down with Scotty 2 Hotty. The SmackDown! Superstar enjoyed an incredible run as a member of Too Cool that included a Tag Team Championship, before he was felled by a neck injury a year ago. After surgery and more than a year of rehab, he is back in WWE. Confidential sits down with Scotty 2 Hotty to get all of this thoughts on the comeback and his plans now that he is back on SmackDown!

Confidential also features a classic match between the Rockers and Orient Express from Royal Rumble 1991. Also, follow RAW ring announcer Lilian Garcia as she sang the National Anthem at a recent New York Jets game, and go Outside the Ropes with Eric Bischoff. All of this and more on Confidential at 11/10 CT on Spike TV!

I liked the picture of Scotty with the Hershey Friends. I have a lot of Hershey collectibles, and that was cool.

Best part of "Confidential" was Eric Bischoff on "Outside the Ropes" Lots of good stuff. Bischoff is actually an entertaining personality, and I always wondered how he would be as a face. Storm was good here, too.

No Crash tribute, though. I was disappointed in that.

The Czyz-nit on Confidential, November 15

Segment 1: Scotty's Back. Poor guy had to get three screws in his neck, and that sucked away about 18 months of work. Spent most of it talking to Lita and hanging out with his kids. Didn't think people would remember him when he got back, or that he'd still be able to do things like Worm. But that went out of the window when he stepped into the ring. also says that his time off was the worst year professionally, but the best year personally. It's sad how often that holds true for most people. .5/1

Segment 2: Survivor Series. Pointless, stupid re-airing of last year's segemt, except it had clips from the elimination chamber match. 0/1

Segment 3: Bischoff Outside the Ropes. Lance is doing the questions, and already is 50 times better than Josh Matthews. Transcript provided by thesmartmarks.com.

    1) What do you think is your greatest accomplishment in wrestling?

I’d have to say taking the steps that created the Monday Night Wars.

    2) What was the point when the name of the New World Order had to be changed to Not Working Out?

About a year and a half into it. Like all good things that you get too much of, it just got too old and tiring. We tried to freshen it up, but it has run its course. It’s kind of like too much fudge, or too many Canadians.

    3) You once auditioned to be an announcer for the WWE. Based on that audition tape, would you have hired yourself?

No, I would have taken back the plane ticket to take me over there.

    4) If someone told you 5 years ago that you would be the GM of RAW, would you be in Heaven, Hell, or Purgatory?

Heaven, because something big like WCW and the WWE merging to create such an opportunity for me.

    5) What are the main reasons to watch RAW over football?

Better stories, hotter (and more) women, and these guys score more often. (And back in 2000, there was never a dull moment)

    6) All you seem to wear are blue jeans and black shirts. Do you think it’s time for a Queer Eye makeover?

(In a "gay voice") That’s an interesting proposition, actually.

    7) What number hair dye do you use?

Actually, some guy in Scottsdale, Arizona does it for me. It takes an hour for him to mix it all up. It’s powerful stuff.

    8) If you could pick any two famous women to do HLA, who would they be?

Well, controversy makes for good ratings, so I’d pick Whoopi Goldberg and Katie Couric. Come on, that would really get people talking. (And every male under 25 puking for days. Lance correctly says that he would be watching football the night that happened)

    9) You wouldn’t pick Mae or Moolah?

No, we’ve seen enough of them for a while. (Haven't we all?)

    10) Do you think that if you never fired Austin from WCW, you would be friends now?

No, because what I did created one of the biggest opportunities he’s ever had. In fact, he should be sending me checks. I would do it again if I had to. But if your team wins, you will have fired him again. I guess that’s kind of a twisted sense of irony, isn’t it?

    Way too honest, IMO .5/1

Segment 4: From the Vault. Terri shows us the Orient Express versus the Rockers from RR 1991. The match was absolutely kick-ass, but the RR isn't this Sunday, Survivor series is. That costs what would have been a full point half a point. .5/1

Segment 5: Lilian sings the National Anthem. I don't know why people think she is a stellar singer. Alll I ever hear her sing is the anthem of the "alternate" anthem (God Bless America). And the only other song I heard her sing was Torrie's theme, and it sucked. Anyway, she goes to the Meadowlands and sings in front of over 60,000 people. Whatever. And she isn't that hot. 0/1

Segment 6: Photo shoot for Austin's book. Austin can't take still photos, since they are too boring. Just a commercial for the book. 0/1

    Total score - 1.5/6
    Later.

Good to finally have Scotty back. He may not be the most important guy on SD! but he’s a solid part of the roster. It’s amazing what these guys and gals go through week in and week out.

Now that I think about it the Survivor Series history does seem a little familiar. That was a year ago so I still kind of liked the look back.

Lance Storm taking Eric Bischoff Outside The Ropes was still funny, but it was better last time when he had Goldust coaching him.

All right! Who let Terri into the vault?! The worst backstage interviewer in the WWE did pick a pretty good match though. It’s interesting to think that at the Royal Rumble the following year, Shawn made his PPV debut as a singles wrestler and Marty was recovering from his injuries inflicted by Michaels after their falling out on “The Barber Shop.”

I don’t think I need to say how much I detest ring announcer Lilian Garcia and her often pitiful performance in the ring, but I liked seeing her sing the National Anthem at the Jets game. I haven’t been impressed with Torrie’s theme or that “Shout” song, but she definitely can sing and I thought it was kind of cool how excited she was. I feel dirty.

Unscripted could be a cool book, but I must admit Austin didn’t get me really excited for it. It’s still going on The Penguin’s Christmas List though.

I'd get that book, but it's 45 clams.

I'm waiting for the WrestleCrap book.
