    Who watched X Files Sunday??

    Like This Thread!
I am surprised nobody has mentioned it thus far, so I am posting it! I watched it, and thought it was a great episode, but where does this leave us for next year's season (which I understand WILL be the last season after all)?? The main villians who have been in the show since the beginning are gone, Mulder is leaving (tho they didn't really give him a reason not to come back in the episode. If anything, that last scene gave him ALL the reason to come back!), and alot of the questions about the conspiracies have been answered.

The only thing I can think of is that Mulder needs to come back next year. Maybe not as a regular character, but the season finale reminded us that he knows too much, perhaps more than his contacts knew in the past who died for the information he knew. It is inevitable that Mulder will die for the information he knows, or I think that the series will end in an unacceptable way if he just manages to walk away unscathed for everything he knows.

If Mulder doesn't come back, not even for a few episodes, it will not be good. He will leave Scully and the baby just like that?? As far as we all know, he is the father! I don't think he would do that, and if Ducovony isn't returning at all next year, the season finale ended rather slopplily, and Mulder should have been killed off too.

Other than that, I just don't see how next year will be as good as the past seasons. But at least any loose threads should be wrapped up. I am wondering why the alien human hybrids had such an interest in Scully's baby when it looked normal and human. I hope they don't try to make the baby and alien human hybrid! And I liked the scene with the Lone Gunmen doing the Three Wisemen gift giving scene! That was funny.

Not much of a cliffhanger. In fact, the Lone Gunmen is the only series that ended with a cliffhanger that I can think of, and that's the only show I watched that is not coming back next year! MAN! I wonder why they didn't do a cliffhanger on X Files?

So does anybody know what Chris Carter has in store for the final season of this show?

I basically just watch the show so I don't know what's in store for season 9 of The X-Files, but I do know that Duchovny will be back in some eps next year.

I do like the fact that this year they didn't have a cliffhanger. I absolutely hate the cliffhanger concept and felt a lot better when Carter did not go that way this year. Each and every year has been a cliffhanger ep and it is kind of frustrating waiting a whole summer to find out what will happen next.

I found it really cool that the group with Billy Miles didn't take Scully's baby. When the park ranger says that the child will be born to Agent Reyes then I knew that they were just protecting the baby, seeing that it is made it out ok. I'm going out on a limb here to say that maybe the people at Scully's birth were like a resistance while Doggett's informant and that other FBI agent were colonists. I don't know if that's correct, but it seems like it kind of is. It's pretty obvious that Kirsch has been trying to subvert the X-Files all along and now we see that he may have been doing much more than that. Maybe he's part of CSM's motives from beyond the grave to ensure that the X-Files never succeeds in learning the truth about the aliens.

Personally, I'm just pleased as punch that Skinner got to get revenge by putting a bullet in ol' One-Arm's head! Woo-hoo!!! That was the most satisfying X-Files moment ever for me. And I love Mulder's reaction - he watches it happen, and then is just like "Ok, time to move on." No surprise, no shock, no horror. Just acceptance. Like he's saying "Eh, good riddance". Hehehehe.

So it didn't say who was the father of Scully's baby? It's stuff like that makes me not care if I miss it or not. They drag stuff out worse than Dragonball Z.

Did anyone die? The one armed man? I can't remember who that is.

If you get a chance, please let me know what happened!

Who was her babies father? Should have watched the show to find out!

Krychek died - Skinner got to put a bullet in his brain.

Yeah, but I'd rather just have one of you guys tell me instead of taking an hour of my life to find out.

Yeah, but that would be too easy for you! I'd rather make you suffer!

    He had it coming!

He sure did, and I'm so glad that Skinner is the one that got to give it to him!

They had an ep where Mulder was said to be the father of Scully's baby, but I can't remember if the insemination took, or it didn't and later Scully became pregnant. Almost like the pregnancy was a miracle. I'm not 100% sure that it was Mulder's kid, but I'm pretty sure.

It was played like a miracle

Everything in the episode suggested that the pregnancy and birth was a miracle, with the mangeresque setting for the birth (Ok, ok, I know it wasn't a manger, but it was some place almost just as unsanitary and hidden) and the "three wisemen" scene with the Lone Gunmen. Of course, that was tongue in cheek, but I am sure very intentional!

I am not 100% sure either, but it is that uncertainty that Chris Carter will play with next year.
