Anyone agree with me when I say The-N sucks?

Why do they suck?

They slowly kill the classics that (once) were on their schedule...

First...
Ghostwriter

Then...
Clarissa Explains It All
Caitlin's Way

And now...
Pete & Pete

(They also took off Being Eve & 24Seven, but those aren't classics but I'm still mad...)

Now The-N only has...
-Degrassi
-Daria
-Radio Free Roscoe
-Clueless
-Just Deal
(And I think one other show that is run into the ground.)

Degrassi, and RFR are shoved down our throats, Just Deal is only on once a day from Monday-Sunday, and that's not bad but it replaced Pete & Pete!

The-N sucks now!

And to top it all off they're bringing back that pile of *** called "Boys VS. Girls" for a second season.

And if anyone wants to know what The-N is it's the digital cable/sateliette channel and is Nickelodeon's sister channel.

It once was good but is slowly dieing and has a "power hour" type schedule and has had one since August.

Anyone else annoyed with it or (now) hate it?

(P.S-Forgive me for being a little long...I'm tired. IT's 1:44 AM!

I would watch Daria if it wasn't censored. I've caught Pete and Pete a few times. The channel otherwise holds nothing for me.

Yes and it still is. Noggin is the kiddy day shift. And The-N is the Teeny night shift. The-N joined Noggin on April 1st 2002.(That day was from memory and I still don't know why I remember it)

I think Degrassi is OK but the other shows suck.

I like Degrassi but I only make sure to watch it once when they show the new episodes on Friday.I'm on a break from Daria for a little while but I do occasionaly watch to see what was edited out of it.To be honest I didn't even notice that Ghostwriter was gone because I'm usually busy or asleep when it was on,but it does suck to hear that they're replacing time for the other shows just to show Degrassi and Radio Free Roscoe 10 times a day.

I watch Degrassi only on Fridays, when there are new episode.

The other 10,000 times it's on I don't watch it.

Radio Free Roscoe used to be a favorite of mine but it's run into the ground...ditto for Daria.

And the editing in Daria is annoying and another reason why I don't watch The-N that much anymore.

Just Deal I don't mind...it's the only show that The-N knows what they're doing with it...they gave it 2 marathons awhile back, it had a good spot on Fridays, then took a break and is now back and not run into the ground.

The only shows that I watch on The-N now is Degrassi and Just Deal the rest of them I could care less about.

And like The-N Noggin also took off the classics.

Only in a few episodes.

The only cuts that I know of are in "When Doves Cry" and "Shout"

Most of the recent episodes seem to have no cuts at all.

The reason is because Degrassi is WAY more popular and is their #1 show.

The reason The-N sucks is because they treated 24Seven like crap. Yeah, you don't remember that, do you? It was about a good show that's about 10-times-better than Degrassi will ever be. But thanks to "budget problems" due to iTV (the network that shows to show in Britain) and their immense poorness, the show was canceled after two seasons. The-N didn't help the show in the US either, shuffling the timeslot in the second season from Monday after Degrassi to some dead end Tuesday slot. The last I saw of the show it was on late, at like 2:00 in the morning right before the channel turned back into Noggin aka "LET'S ALL LEARN STUPID CRAP!" but now I think it's totally off.

Then there's Being Eve, which basically suffered the same fate, and all the classics which got kicked off so we can see the same two episodes of Just Deal, Degrassi and Out There over and over again.

CURSE YOU VIACOM! YOU'VE ALREADY RUINED NICK, QUIT GOING AFTER EVERYTHING ELSE!!!

Used to watch this channel like crazy during the summer, that is until it became the Degrassi network. Haven't watched it since.

I watched about 30 percent of an episode of Degrassi: The Next Generation. My main reaction was getting really worried about the young girl who plays Emma, Miriam McDonald. Does anyone else think she's way too skinny to be healthy?

When Noggin premered, I thought it was great. I'm probably a little older, so for me it was a thrill that they had late night airings of the shows I watched as a child, Sesame Street Unpaved (anyone who's seen the show lately would understand why Unpaved was such a treat), Electric Company, 3-2-1 Contact and Square One TV. I had my hopes up that they'd bring more nostalgia shows on like Zoom and Voyage of the Mimi. Instead they went and did to Noggin Late night, what Disney channel did to Vault Disney. They Zooged it with the N.

I have nothing personal against the programs themselves, but they run constantly. I quite like Digrassi: TNG, but its on several times a day. While I don't care for most of thier other programing, I totally agree, that there's no reason to bury it in favor of showing the same program in marathon sessions, constantly.

I too enjoyed seeing Clarissa Explains it All and The Adventures of Pete & Pete. However Pete and Pete was a hacked up version as well, not for censorship reasons, but to avoid paying royalties to the owners of songs originally used. The cheapskates. I wish I could see the proper version of Apocolypse Pete or How We Spent Our Summer Vacation again.

I'd also like them to start showing episodes of the original Digrassi Jr. High/High again.
