The SHIELD Season 2 Finale "Dominoes Falling" Talkback (SPOILERS)

    "Dominoes Falling"

In this pivotal episode, Det. Wyms' ex-husband is killed in an apparent gang execution, and Mackey (Emmy winner Michael Chiklis), Aceveda and new Strike Team member Tavon (Brian White) investigate the crime. The murder case comes at a bad time, however, as it draws Mackey's attention away from other matters at hand---namely the Team's plan to rob the Armenian mob's money-laundering operation.

Cast: Michael Chiklis, Benito Martinez, CCH Pounder, Walton Goggins, Catherine Dent, Michael Jace, Kenneth Johnson, Jay Karnes, Brian White

A good way to end the season. Danny's firing was unexpected. I hope that some how bring her back for next season. I wonder if Julian will survive his beating? Could the Strike Team be feeling guilty about the money train? Could Vic and Corinne get back together? And what will happen to Acevado? To many question, it will be a long wait till next season.

Again another tremendous episode of The Shield. I have never agreed more with critics then I do with them concerning this show. Every week is a home run.

Tavon still seems a little shady to me still too eager.

Julien standing up for his son. Getting bashed at the end was shocking.

Danny getting fired might be the best thing for her character. Hopefully next year she will come back strong than ever.

Claudette I would have liked to have seen her show a little more emotion but that is her way. Her scenes with Vic were great as usual. Her remark abou it not being if they can work together bt if he could work for her was a nice dig at Vic. Then Vic's eyes when he heard that David would win and realized he would be their boss' boss said more than an lines could.

The Strike team finnaly get what they wanted but came away feeling dirty. Ths will most likely play out next season.

Was it me or was Ronnie a little too desperate for the heist to go down, I would like that explored next season too.

Shane again showing his love for Vic by going to see Corinne

The best scenes to me in The Shield are when Vic deals with his family. When he went to Corinne a swallowed his pride and told her he will do what's right and go through all of the proper channels to see his kids, and that they will be taken care of was performed perfectly. It felt so genuine and sincere and Corinne reaction was great. The scenes with them are so moving. They have such passion they could be arguing and screaming one minute with Vic dodging items throw at his head and the go into a heart felt scene like this.

I agree with you on Vic and his family. The moments give Vic's character depth that makes him more human than most tv characters. Ronnie may be seeing this heist as his way out, considering that he could have been easily killed by Armadillo. I think that Tavon is trying to prove himself to Vic. Remember the interogation scence where Tavon attacked the guy and Vic pulled him. Vic handed picked Tavon, so I doubt that Tavon is an informant. I wonder where they will pick up next season, and what happens now to Dutch.

Another good episode of The Shield, and a good way to end this season. It left a lot of questions unanswered during the montage of all the storypoints, and should be very interesting to see them develop next season.

He was already picked to be on the Strike Team. All Vic did was give him a probation status, meaning if he didn't work out Vic could pull him off the team.
I still have my concerns, he just seems to eager to please, and be a part of the team to me.

Yeah the only bad thing about The Shield is the wait between seasons. But they do give us those marathons and they do release their D.V.D.'s pretty fast.

    This show is outstanding.

Still, for a season finale for the Sheild I'd have to say this was a triple instead of a home run. Things happend almost *too* easy. Didn't feel the impending doom edge I usually feel per episode.

Tavon.... man he fits the Strike Team just perfectly. I'm starting to believe he's actually the real deal. The way the narrative is going and the performances the actor is giving he's far too likeable now to make the audience ever want him to turn on the Strike Team. Then again, you never know with The Sheild.

Claudette's going to make one helluva captain. I hope Aceveda is still prominent in the show even tho he's no longer captain.

Julien... man, I didn't know it was possible for a guy to deny his sexuality on TV and actually look so honorable doing it. He's the perfect picture of a "good cop".

Danny.... she'll be back. She's far too much fun for the writers to kick around and it'll be far to rewarding when the episode comes that's dedicated to her to see how she over comes it all to become a detective like she's destined to. She'll be back.

What exactally was the stunned expression from the Strike Team at all that money? Did they realise they've got more money than they know what to do with without looking suspicious?

I think that look wasn't because they got away with it but how they did it. I don't think they were proud of themselves.

yeah the best scene from that awesome episode was when Vic gest to the pile and he's happy about the pay off....but then he too realizes what happened in order for them to get it. Just awesome.

I really hope they dont take so long with seasons this time.
