It seems unclear what that is going to be all about. It sounds like a lot of hype to me.
(ET) -- Marilyn Manson is in the process of scheduling a series of what he is calling "grotesque burlesque" events to celebrate the May 13 release of his album The Golden Age Of Grotesque.
Manson said the "grotesque burlesque" cabaret shows will give fans an idea of what he's all about.
"There probably will be, before our album comes out leading up to the tour, 10 shows in America," Manson said. "And in and around these shows, the grotesque burlesque, will also be these happenings. I can't really describe 'em as parties or listening parties. It'll give people to get a taste of what I'm about."
Manson promised that the "grotesque burlesque" shows will feature art, music, and be unlike anything fans have ever experienced. "I'm going to pick these venues that people can come to and they're going to see things that they're not supposed to see," Manson said. "They're going to see art, they're going to see music, but it's going to be like the speakeasies. It's going to be like Weimar Berlin before it got censored, it's gonna be decadent and entertaining, and I like that. I like wearing a tie."
Marilyn Manson's first single from The Golden Age Of Grotesque will be "mObscene." At press time there were no dates for the pre-OzzFest "grotesque burlesque." The shock rocker heads to Europe May 29 for a festival tour starting in Lisbon.

When Manson says it will be like nothing fans have seen before, I'm sure it will.Originally Posted by Pilmedium
Glad to hear/see Manson will be coming out with a new album. I don't like all his music but I am a fan![]()

Ohhhh, I thought he was going to do a twisted, demented version of the Broadway musical.![]()
