    Douglas Adams Dead at 49

This really is a shame. The world has lost a gem. He got a message across in the funniest way possible.

If anyone thinks that "Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy" was just about being funny they need to read it again or for the first time. He really made you think about the problems with society.

I'm disappointed to know that we won't get anything else from this man.
    Here's a link about it.

Not just the problems with soceity...he made you think about EVERYTHING...the nature and purpose of time and space, the possibilities presented by an infinite universe of infinite dimensions, what it means to be human...

But remember...writers NEVER truly die.Dante Alighieri was born in 1265 and died in 1321...but you can still buy brand new translations of "The Divine Comedy" at Barnes & Noble, and I recently purchased a pocket-sized edition of H.G.Wells "war of the worlds".

Adams isnt gone,he has simply gone from man to legend...
Ive still been horribly depressed at his death...but I wonder...could his last thoughts have been "Oh no,not again?"

Gosh, I figured there were more fans than that here!

I just got through reading the tributes to him at his official page, and am horribly depressed.

Sting Chameleon's statement that writers never truly die makes me feel a bit better, but I'm still very bummed.

The world is nowhere near as cool of a place as it was last week.
