I'm dumbfounded by this. Eminem is NOT Bruce Wayne/Batman. I'ts nothing against him, but against whoever's casting this damn thing.

Of course, nobody thought Michael Keaton would be good in the role of Batman/Bruce Wayne before they saw him in the role.
All we could think was: "This is the guy from Mr. Mom, Johnny Dangerously, and Gung Ho! He's a skinny funnyman. He has no place playing a superhero, much less one as dark as the Batman." But look at how that turned out. The Batman movies with Michael Keaton, directed by Tim Burton, are widely considered among the finest depictions of a superhero on film!

With competent direction, we may be surprised. Marshall will at least have to dye his hair, but that's a minor point, all things considered.

It won't happen. I think there is little enough chance of the film happening let alone Eminem being allowed in. Warners go weak at the knees at the thought of risking another Bat movie. Eminem is a controversial star, and that brings way too many risks. Um, aside from my general dislike of Eminem, I don't see it. He'd have to do WAY more training than Will Smith did for Ali in order to even begin to look like he was bulky enough for the part. The young Bruce Wayne may have been slighter than what we see now, but not by much and definitely nowhere near as small as Mr. Mathers.

We need to get some new materials for the Batsuit. Stuff that looks like Kevlar and leather but moves like lycra so we can finally see Batman as a practitioner of the martial arts.

Eminem has just proved that he is box office gold. That surely outweighes any risks.

Ill have to agree with sKorpia on all aspects. I like Eminem as a rapper and think he did very well in "8 Mile", but he was playing himself. Keaton worked because he is a very good actor who is adaptable. We have only seen Eminem in one movie, and it was a role he was close to because for the most part, that WAS his life (with some creative differences in the movie, of course).

This rumor has been around for a while, as well as other pretty boy types attached to the project. Hell, with all the stalling and interferring WB does, I doubt we will see another Batman movie for a while no matter WHAT they say is a release date is. It is upsetting that there are too many execs involved and not enough creative types to give this franchise (one that could rake in a HELL of a lot of money) a creative kick in the posterior, give other DC characters a REAL chance and compete with the Marvel projects.

True, but it does not matter whether or not fans can see him as the Dark Knight. What matter is whether lots of poeple will pay to see him play the Dark Knight.

He certainly wouldn't be my first choice, but then Kilmer and Clooney wouldn't have made the top of my list either.

The only plausible way I can see Eminem working as Batman is if they move up the timetable of the original Batman story to modern time, like they did in Smallville. Too bad, didn't that just fail with Birds of Prey? WB can't seen to take care of its DC characters. This rumor is almost positively false.

In his "Without Me" music video, I thought he looked OK as Robin...so how about we cast him as Jason Todd? Then we can get rid of him by the end of the movie, and everything will be right again.

Come on, You know he wouldn't except the role anyway. Pay attention to his interviews.

Besides from the sounds of this someone just compared the plot to 8mile to the plot of year 1 and made a stupid assumption.
