    Help PLEASE!

    Like This Thread!
Can any help answer nay part of this question?:

I have a 12 paged research paper due soon, and my thesis is:

With the development of technonlogy in teh 80's, Bob Kane's dream: Batman, was able to be brought to life in the film: Batman.

I need to know of any camera tricks, special effects, stunts... any technonogy used.

If anyone knows anything about the 60's 'special effects' then tell me too, cause I am comparing the two.

    Thank you!

Sorry, I doubt anyone here would know much about that I'm afraid.

Have you tried looking at any of the superhero movie websites?

When in doubt, there's always imdb.com. If they don't have the answers you seek...no one does. Mwahahaha! (doing my best Lord of the Rings/evil wizard impression)

Seriously, you can try researching some of the names of the crew who worked on the camera/special effects for Batman, and maybe you'll find some info that way. It's a long shot, but you never know.

As for books, there's Les Daniels' excellent Batman: The Complete History. While it focuses more or Batman's comic book roots, there is some good info about the Burton films. However, you say this research paper is due soon and Daniels' book is not a quick read.

Sorry I couldn't offer more help, but good luck on your paper anyways.

I will try that site, cross your fingers!

I have done research on the crew memebers, from Anton Furst to Tim Burton. I found a book called Batman and Me, and that seems to be of some help, but it doesn't have what I need. At least not to fill 12 pages, heh.

It's ok, you gave it a shot, and I am happy for that much! Hee-hee, at least I can count you as on of our 50 sources *winks*. Thank you!

I have a book at home called "Batman: The Official Book of the Movie" by John Marriot. There's a lot of good stuff about miniatures and the different things they used to create Gotham City and the like. I don't have it up here at school with me, but it's possible your library might have a copy.

Thanks. I will have to ask my sister to check for it up at Purdue, but she won't be home till Christmas... and down at Ball State library, and not to mention my schools, they don't have any Batman books besides Batman and Me, which I think I mentioned earlier.

Thank you all the same, I will check around for it. Thanks!... I suppose you wouldn't recall anything from the book? Tee-hee, thank you!
