Power Rangers - Tenth Anniversary, "Forever Red" Talkback (Saturday!!!)

    Like This Thread!

It's coming.... rumor made reality, so don't miss it!

Rangers from ten seasons join voices to stop the resurrection of Serpentara!!!

Be there, be you Ranger fan or not!

I can't wait to hear it one more time... "It's Morphin' Time!!!"

God, let the story please be good.

I mean, they gotta explain where T.J. gets his morpher back from, how Jason can use a broken Power Coing, Tommy using- oh wait, the Zeo Crystal's fine, and where Andros got a second Megaship from!

Anyway, it should be interesting.... Later!

    One Part Story.

Ok, for this reunion special, we have:

    1. The Machine Empire, villians from the BEST Power Rangers series ever: Power Rangers Zeo

    2. The WORST zord in history. Serpenterra (which the machine empire could destroy with a thought, watch "a zeo beggining" for god's sake, Zedd ain't using it as a battle ship that's for sure!)

    3. ERIC! (The best character since Leo in Lost Galaxy)

    4. BULK AND SKULL (Dud-duh-duh-duh..)

    5. That famous power ranger morphing call

    IT'S MORPHIN' TIME!

This reunion will receive a MIXED reaction, to be sure, the plot sounds rushed and won't make a lot of sense.

I hope the villian is either Gasket, or better yet somoene we'd never expect..like Grimlord from V.R Troopers!

It';s just a damn shame that every time you'll see tommy fight, you WON'T hear "GO GREEN RANGER, GO GO!", or even WORSE "White Ranger Tiger Power",

Yikes.... a story like this done in one episode.

Indeed the reaction will be mixed. No way they can do a good story this big in 30 minutes.

7:30 on ABC Family I know... but it should be coming on at either 10:30 or 11:00 on regular ABC... I think.

    This is all Central Time.

Check our local listings.... better safe than sorry. I personally will be taping at both times.

    The schedule

On ABC, it's scheduled for this Saturday at 12 noon Eastern. It varies from city to city. Check local listings.

ABC Family's schedule is locked in, just a week later: Oct. 12, 8:30 a.m. Eastern and Pacific.

Thanks for reminding me. I have to go set up my VCR just in case.

And am I crazy or did I see Shadow Borg in the commercial?

Indeed the reaction will be mixed. No way they can do a good story this big in 30 minutes.
Yeah, this sounds to big to be shoved into 30 minutes.

    4. BULK AND SKULL (Dud-duh-duh-duh..)
Christ, I forgot about those two! It'll be great to see them again.

I hope so too, but don't get your hopes up.

I guess I should say this. This might be an episode just to see some of our favortie Red Rangers together in one episode. I say, forget about the story and just enjoy your favorite returning Ranger back in action, because you might be dissapointed.

Think about it. 20 minutes, 10 Red Rangers. But then again the Space/Lost Galaxy team up could of been a good one parter.

I can't wait to see this episode. It has to be at least a 2-parter though. There is no way they could fit in 10 Power Rangers into one 22 minute episode with it making sense.

Yeah, cause lord knows, they've never done that befo... oh wait, they do it every year.

This is no different than any other team-up in regards to how the characters will be introduced. ONE character will be focused upon more than any other, obviously Tommy. The current leader for the series will get equal treatment, that being Cole. A secondary guest will get a little more screentime, maybe Jason, but then the rest will be neglected to mere supporting roles. I don't see how ANYONE who's whining about wanting 2 parters can possibly FORGET the fact that even with 2 parts, every other team-up has failed to give equal screentime to all members. Anyone honestly think TJ & Carter will get more speaking time in 2 parts than Kendrix & Damon did in "Trakeena's Revenge"? Besides, I can name plenty of single episodes that stand perfectly on their own, "Always A Chance", "True Blue To The Rescue", "To The Tenth Power"... heck, even, "Reinforcements From The Future, Part 1" was better than its second half.

If you look at ALL the team-ups, you'll notice one thing: no matter how many parts, the endings are ALWAYS rushed. FR will be no different, even if it had 4 parts. They didn't even have to make this episode, so just be greatful they're even bothering to give us a chance to revisit old friends before the production company is shut-down and the people who've helped make this show work since the beginning are fired and replaced by a bunch of New Zelanders who couldn't care less about referencing old shows they didn't work on.

And for those claiming "plotholes" before the ep has even aired, let me remind you the story editor, and from what I hear the writer of this episode, is a LONG time internet-based fan. He knows the show's continuity better than most of you do. You think Serpentera wasn't last seen on the moon? Do a search for something called "Scorpion Rain" and you'll change your tune.

I consider the other team-ups different because it shows 2 different teams of rangers instead of 10 individual rangers from numerous shows. Why bother putting in former red rangers from past seasons when they aren't even going to utilize them? The ending might be rushed, but at least more can be told in the story. Even the most recent team-up was a 2-parter, so why would they cut back a team-up that is much more elaborate?

You're right in some respects, Monarch.

But there are bound to be questions about these characters that all used to be main characters that just need to be answered. The story editor you speak of it Amit of Power Rangers Online fame. He wrote Reinforcements From the Future and at least they gave an incredible set-up, even tho the endinging was rushed.

I just really don't want a super cool event like this to be like the Time Force/Lightspeed Team-Up which everyone groaned and frowned at.

Anyway, I hope it's good. Just saw an ABC Family preview this morning and Forever Red will not be airing tomarrow, but instead next week Saturday morning. Instead look for it at either 10:30 or 11:00 Central Time on regular ABC.

Man, it's wierd hearing all of you talk about Power Ranger's contintuity! I only got into the original series enough to see maybe three episodes and track down the original Megazord! Once the "newer" series can out, I realized that Bandai was going to milk the show's popularity as much as they could. I mean how many shows have there been? PR Zeo Force? Time Squad? Wild Force? In Space? I've lost track completely.

Still, the Rangers were kinda fun, and I'm looking forward to seeing this "Reunion"...but I'm sure I won't know half the characters.

Could anyone perhaps bring me up to speed on what may be happening when I tune in on Saturday?

    Go. Go Power Rangers!!!

P.S. Zordon is dead!?!? Where's Rita?

Actually, they'd be pointlessly milking the series for its worth if they had continued with the same Might Morphin series. This way there's a real and good reason to keep the show going by telling different stories and plots every two seasons.

Kinda like nobody says Transformers is getting milked. Beast Wars and Beast Machines were just new and great stories with new characters to use.

It keeps the show with purpose and power to change up the cast and keep pace with their Japan Hero Sentai counter parts.

As for what happened to Rita, Zedd and Zordon... Power Ranger Central has excellent episode summaries and for the true fate of Zordon and Rita check out Countdown to Destruction Part 1 and Part 2.

    That should answer your questions.

I'm a BIG Power Ranger fan! Jason's my fave Red ranger. Most of these powers were destroyed in the past so how are the rangers supposed to get there powes back? The power coins were destroyed, the zeo powers became the Turbo powers (which got destroyed, Andro's got a new Astro megaship. Andros, Leo and Carter still have their powers. Forever Red will be the greatest episode ever!
