Saw it Thursday night. By far the best in the series. Funniest scenes were the sillhouete scene, and the jail-rap musical sequence. I can't wait to see it again.

I saw AP: GOLDMEMBER at a preview/advance screening Monday night. I got tickets from CHUD.com and went. It is by far the best of the 3 AP movies!! The beginning is excellent-- best intro yet. Unfortunately I can tell you nothing about the movie because it would give away too much. Let's just say nothing in the Austin Powers universe will EVER be the same after this movie.... This movie is so much better than the second. So much goes on in it...it's a movie with non-stop laughs..I have never laughed so hard or enjoyed a movie so much before. It is highly reccomended!!!![]()

It seems that not many movie talkbacks are getting polls these days, but I really like 'em and if any movie deserves one it's "Goldmember" so after you see it don't forget to rate it, baby, yeah!![]()

Saw the movie this morning. It was ok. There were some real funny bits and one or two surprises, but I found a lot of it predictable. There were a lot of scenes in there that weren't needed. Definitely the weaker of the three.
Spoiler:
How am I the first one who voted? Anyway just got back from this and it was pretty keen, another DVD to own, especially with all the cut footage promised. The part I was looking forward to the most was Kevin Spacey's cameo, I love the man and had tried my best to go into the film without knowing where he'd turn up. Was lucky enough to not see it coming, and I was dying.
Overall not better than #2 and was irked that Micheal Caine was recycling his Old Dialogue from previous films through most of the movie. But worth admission, specially if you're a little tipsy in the turnstile if you know what I mean......
favorite line: Mr. Kate Capshaw "My little friend thinks it's fine the way it is...." If I had that statue I'd carry it around everywhere and talk to it like a little Mini Me.
major complaint: NO MUSTAFA!!!!!!

I just got back from the advance screening tonight and I have to say that I do not remember the last time I laughed so hard...this movie was awesome! I was kinda iffy with it being a sequel and all..but Mike Meyers delivered BIG time! The audience did not stop laughing from start to finish except for three or four scenes near the end
The opening sequence is the best...
I loved the first movie and I believe that this one is almost as good as it..on some points maybe even better
I just got back from seeing one of the funniest and best movie that has come out this year. I heard that the begining was the funniest of all 3 movies, and I heard right! The following paragraphs talk about the movie and if you don't want to be spoiled, DO NOT I REPEAT DO NOT LOOK BELOW.
The introduction with all of the cameos were hilarious, my favorite was Danny Devito as Mini-me (That had me in tears!!) I didn't find any dull moments in the begining like some reviewers said, it was all non-stop comedy.
The quarrel between Dr. Evil and Scott was very very funny, almost funnier than the other fights they had. Wasn't it funny how Mini-me fell asleep when Dr.Evil tried to explain his new plan to destroy the world. The plan was hilarious how all preparation from A to G failed, so they used Preparation H. "It's better on the whole" as Scott said. The rap scene with all of the prisoners was also funny. I can't believe that Dr. Evil's Austins brother and that his real name is Dougie Powers. I really didn't see that coming.
And it's too bad that Mustafa wasn't in it, maybe he'll be in the deleted scenes. Too bad we only saw Rob Lowe(young #2) for a couple of seconds during the credits.
It was funny how the Osbournes remembered the spaceship scene from the second film and bringing it into this movie with the satelite.
Fat Bastard was also very funny in his sumo suit fighting Austin. "I didn't eat corn!" was also funny when he was sitting on the toilet. And his "I took the Subway diet" was funny, it was gross how he had all of that flabby skin, but so funny at the same time.
Goldmember was gross how he would save and sometimes eat his dead skin. The way Dr.Evil would react with Goldmember was hilarious. "You're not going to put that in your mouth are you? Oh yes, you are". Do you think he died at the end when he used his Goldmember to activate Preparation H and it backfired on him? I don't really know.
Nigel was also funny how he hated the Dutch and that's why he hated Goldmember so much. He had great acting when he was telling the truth about Austin and Dr. Evil being brothers.
Byonce was a good actress and I don't get it how people say she can't act, just by seeing the trailers. Believe me, those aren't her best scenes shown in the trailers.
Austin let his Mojo kick into high gear in this movie and I loved it. Like how he beat the crap out of Mini-me and how he always reacted to The Mole's mole. It was sad how he was ridiculed when his dad never showed up for anything, but it was funny how that one old man was in 1958 laughing and so in 2002. His reading abilities in the Mr.Roboto scene were hilarious like how he though he was saying nasty things.
Mini-me was also funny how he hated Scott but when Scott became evil, Mini-me was ridiculed. I didn't expect him to turn over a new leaf and dress as Austin. He was definately very funny in this one.
Scott, just looked wierd how he kept losing hair the more evil he got. Will Scott be the new Evil now that Dr.Evil is good, who know? We might see if there is a 4th movie, which I REALLY REALLY hope they do. Mike Myers has a great thing going, and I really don't think it will ever lose its luster.
All in all 10 stars out of 5 stars!!! That's right, it was that good.
I was once called Patrick Star....a looooooong time ago.........then I needed a break.
I'd be happy if ANYONE remembered me!
I thought it was on par with the second one because the funny parts were very humerous moreso than the ones in the the previous films but they seemed sorta gapped whereas they were non-stop in AP2, overall 4 stars of 5, very funny.
Just got back from the advance screening, and I have to say, it was hilarious. It definitely measures up with the other two movies, and Goldmember is a great addition to the Myers lineup. "I'm from Holland--Isn't that weird?" Dr. Evil's interactions with Goldmember were great, and I liked the twist with Mini-Me going 'legit.' The whole Mole bit was great (wasn't that the guy from "The Wonder Years"?!?), and I was so happy to see Nathan Lane in an Austin Powers movie. Of course, I expected the whole Austin/Dr. Evil brothers bit, but I don't think it's supposed to be a huge secret...I mean, that's what makes it so funny, is that it's so cliched. Overall, a very funny movie. Hope there's another one on the way!

I saw it Thursday night and I really enjoyed myself with this movie. The cameos were great, and just when I thought they were done, there was John Travolta at the very end. Though at the end of the film, it sure went downhill fast and was not very funny. It's like someone else wrote the last 10 minutes of the film cause it didn't seem like it should fit with the rest of the movie.
Wasn't Heather Graham, Will Ferrall, and Rob Lowe supposed to be in this movie? I swear when they were filming this, Heather Graham was talking about it. I was reading in different places all over the internet that all three of them were supposed to be in it. I guess not after seeing it.
The Clown Prince

ClownPrince, they're probably in the deleted scenes.
Anyway, just saw it and the intro is golden.
Like Part 2, it's aware of itself so storyline holes are acceptible here (and probably not to critics). And like every Austin movie, stay during the credits for more.
BTW, Roger Ebert gave it two stars which equals a thumbs down. Some of the gags probably made him want to gag (even though Part 2 is dirtier, IMO).
Go see it.
Yeah that was Fred Savage. Nice to see he's off welfare since his sitcom about working in an office from a few years back, bombed.Originally posted by Brainiac
The whole Mole bit was great (wasn't that the guy from "The Wonder Years"?!?)
I thought it was pretty good. There were quite a few parts that had me lol, but there were also parts that seemed like dead air. I still liked it though, especially the opening sequence.
Goldmember (the character) was interesting, but not as good an original character as Mini-Me and FB were in the 2nd film.
Who was Gweneth Paltrow "playing"? I know it was a play on words (kind of like Pussy Galore in James Bond films), but I can't remember the exact name. It was Dixie <something>.
My favorite scenes in no particular order:
Spoiler:
The best part was at the end credits when Ms. Spears talks to Mini-Me.
Heh.
Oh, and...
"Shat on a turtle!"

Predictions For Austin Powers 4 (yes all ready)
Scott Evil will be the evil villain with Number Two joining him. Dr. Evil will be working with M.O.D. as an informant and specialist on mad geniuses. Mini Me will become a M.O.D. agent or perhaps become a personal assistant to Basil Exposition. Frau Farbisina will be torn between her loyalty to her son and Dr. Evil. Nigel Powers, Goldmember, and Fat Bas#### will not return they've got they're time in the sun and it's time for a new villain. There will be cameos by Mrs. Kensington, Felicity Shagwell, and Foxy Cleopatra. Mustafa will work for Scott as well as some other new henchmen. Oh and the main Powers girl will not be another agent for MOD, the CIA, or the FBI. It will be a person who's brought together with Austin for story reasons and not because she's been assigned the case.
Anyways I liked Goldmember, the opening sequence was sheer brilliance, but none of the movies will ever be able to top the first one.
When life hands you lemons, ask for Tequila and Salt.
Make like Rick Blaine and make her go on the plane. It's the right thing to do.
I saw the movie Thursday night to a packed advance screening. Seats were full and the crowd was jumping. The movie begins...
....And it was good! Overall, I really enjoyed the movie. The opening sequence was just sheer brilliance. After that, well....it was as if someone hit repeat. What came after the opening ten minutes seemed like a rehash of the first two movies. As usual, Fat Bastard's appearance fell as flat his his introduction in the second movie. Goldmember was a good characters. Not really fleshed out or anything special, but worth a good laugh here and there. And of course, the now mandatory appearance by The Osbournes. I Know, I know...it sound slike I hated the movie, but I enjoyed it...but it was just a basic rehasf og everything before with a small twist here and there.
I gotta say that Mini-Me steals the show yet again. A hilarious and over the top character who got alot of the much deserved screentime and was apart of the second part sequence in the movie, the medical room sequence. And then there was Beyonce. She did a much better job than I expected. I think I was the only person who got a chuckle out of her 'Shazam!' catchphrase.
The movie was on par with the second installment, but not as good as the original. I was also glad to see the blatant product placement was cut back abit from the second one.
With all the above said, this really should be the last installment. There's only so many times when you can reuse the same jokes over and over. This installment gives a nice closure to the series. Hell, it even says 'The End' before the credits role. Let the series go out on a high note instead of being dragged through the mud in future installments. And there's also so many times Myers can play Austin Powers without getting stiff and boring. I know he's incredibly talented, but if you play the character too many times, it can get boring. Let this be the last installment. I'd rathar see a hilarious Austin Powers Trilogy than a mediocre Austin Power Series.
