THIS WEEK: When you think about it, TV shows with cult fanbases have actually returned more times than they haven't. The results have been mixed, but it's a thing, and it totally happens! Join us as we examine many recent examples in..."YOU CAME BACK!"
Well... i think i'll say about this since it's something i would say about it.First, the acquirations (ALF, and Lois and Clark). Now, i will say i'm a bit surprised these two are picked up, ALF is probably my favorite choice on it.. also, (Lois and Clark = Superman: TAS is a Shue-in), and 6 Acquired Shows in a year (so far), New Record!Second, The Mini-Marathons (as of June for their Primetime)... I really think this move for me will just lack a bit of variety for a primetime line-up like this when you think of it.

Yayz, ALF! I already own the series on DVD, but it's still a fun show to watch when you're just looking for a way to pass the time. I approve of it joining the Hub line-up.

A sitcom created specifically for families like ALF is one thing, but I don't know about Lois and Clark. In all honesty, Lois and Clark is more along the lines of something that would air on ABC Family (that is, the way they are now); a show that could technically be considered "family friendly", even though it really isn't. OTOH, if it was something like Wonder Woman, that would be different. While Wonder Woman is a one hour show that aired in primetime, her show focuses specifically on her superheroics. Lois and Clark, while having superheroics, pushes that aside in order to focus on the drama of the characters' personal struggles, including, but not limited to, the Man of Steel's struggles to keep his true identity secret.
IMHO, The Hub really shouldn't be messing around with one hour primetime dramas that were made specifically for older viewers. Now, before anyone mentions Looney Tunes/Merrie Melodies (i.e., the classic animated shorts from Warner Bros.), a series of theatrical animated shorts made from the 1930s (if not earlier) to the 1960s is not the same as a live action one hour primetime drama that aired on a network in the 1990s. This show is clearly meant more for older viewers to watch. In any case, since it is being planned for The Hub, I can only hope that it doesn't lead to them resorting to those technicalities I've often mentioned...
Cartoons aren't "just for kids"...but they're not just for adults either. They're for everyone.
Apparently... Nick and More are confirming the summer schedule... And (although it's just a summer line-up) it's a bit weird... (and 6 Lois and Clark airings on a Sunday!!) Hopefully the Fall schedule will be good like last year.![]()

My take on the schedule:
-Outside of the primetime line-up (which I'll get to later), we still don't have a clue about the weekday schedule yet. One thing to wonder: with it summer time, I wonder if this means that the later airings of My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic will return (a la how the Hub had an airing during the 6:00PM hour last summer).
-On Saturdays, I can understand what's going on here. With the Hub's most popular show, My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic, currently in repeats until the fall, the schedule has returned to having the more "younger kids/girls" shows air first, with the male-targetted shows airing later. Of course, the interesting point here is that MLP is airing three times on Saturday, with the first episode serving as a lead in to the new season of Pound Puppies, and the third episode being a lead in the Aquabats! Super Show (which, like MLP, does have its share of adult fans).
-On the Prime Time blocks, this is pretty much the Hub's version of the "Block Party Summer" line-up that Nick at Nite used to do during the summer period of the 1990's.

It's official, The Hub is the new Nickelodeon/Nick@Nite. And no, I don't mean that in a bad way.
Mind you, I've only seen bits and pieces of Lois and Clark, but I don't recall its' subject matter being any more hardcore than that of, say, Doogie Howser, M.D. or Family Ties, both of which have aired on The Hub without any complaints.Originally Posted by Mandouga

I really hope this is'nt the way it's schedule will be, hopefully it's just a summer thing.Because this will pretty much lacks the variety alot. Sure it could increase the ratings.. But seeing like a show has like 3 or 4 times a day just seems too much (if you ask me). Renegades is a perfect example of a show on not to air alot. Since it only had 26 Episodes, and somehow the next season has never been in production so far. I hope the Hub does'nt take that route Nick does, considering that it will pretty be a bit tiring on re-runs, i mostly hope it's a summer thing since it's a bit sad to see the shows get removed.

I'm guessing by the summer schedule that Fraggle Rock's days on The Hub are over. Too bad, I was really hoping it would to lead more Henson programming coming back to television through The Hub, especially since it seemed back when The Hub was starting Red Fraggle was one of the "faces" of the network. Oh well.
For a long time it gave me nightmares... witnessing an injustice like that... it's a constant reminder of just how unfair this world can be... I can still hear them taunting him... silly rabbit, Trix are for kids... I mean, WHY COULDN'T THEY JUST GIVE HIM SOME CEREAL?
